Sequencing is cheap and getting cheaper. In 10-15 years or so there will be no reason to use the legacy DNA tests at all.
Except that in 10-15 years, there will be a sizable corpus of data; DNA information from an incredible number of cases and convicts (and suspects) that law enforcement won't want to lose or do without. Not to mention, they can be cheap bastards. If there is no money in the budget for a replacement system (analyzers, computers, sampling equipment, etc, etc. plus training) then the old system will continue being used.
And then judge specifically asks you if you have been coerced or promised anything and you say 'no, your honor' and everyone in the room winks at each other.
God help you if your acting coach (lawyer) forgot to tell you how to answer this question and you accidentally point out the de facto coercion of which you were a victim. Hilarity ensues. Mostly in an off the record sidebar.
Not sure where you live, but even in MD, ammo has been trivially available from at least 2010 until shortly after Sandy Hook. And having just come back from South Carolina I can say, while the shelves aren't brimming, a bit of shopping around got my gf and I more than a bit of ammo.
I don't really drink soda any more but I still have some Mtn Dew from time to time just because I like the flavor.
So they are using drones and offering a million dollar reward to catch Chris Dorner, but people like you are allowed to walk the street? I never knew America's priorities were so far out of whack.
Are you sure that silver bullets don't work against management? They work on most meat-based targets, as well as werewolves...
This is the government. Think less Lon Chaney and more Bela Legosi, and you'll see why silver bullets are ineffective. (Although given it is made of the stapled together remains of some other dead agencies and has an abby normal brain, I'm thinking DHS might be Frankenstein (Yes, yes, Frankenstein's monster pedants))
The mayor got a pass on doing cocaine and sticking things into prostitutes so I guess the liberals do get a pass.
According to hizzoner, the mayor for life, "The bitch set [him] up".
That doesn't change what I said though, they can't really comprehend a gun owner intent on protecting his rights might be a liberal too.
Given the population breakdown in Montgomery County, there's no way all of the people I see at the various ranges are raving tea partiers. Now if only those liberals would stop electing 'quality' Democrats like Brian Frosh.

Born twenty years later? A fertilized egg just sat around mom's uterus for two decades? Seems... Odd.
This entire discussion is nothing more than empty speculation on something never mentioned in the story.

Give up as soon as it gets hard
Supposedly, one of them didn't. That's why they have a sample to compare the brothers to.

Coercion is a specific threat or harm, like starving the person for days.
Oddly enough, threatening someone with PMITA prison is not coercion.
Not in persecuting an innocent man.
Normally, I'd say you meant 'prosecuting', but 'persecuting' seems to fit. Just watch five minutes of Nancy Grace.
In practice, I'm not sure how much distinction there really is other than methodology.
On the contrary, having two different methodologies allows proponents of either to engage of tons of chest beating about how superior it is.
Some reasonable amount of injustice has to be accepted otherwise you can never imprison the guilty.
Once you pluck your head from your ass, go here. Or maybe just go there in an effort to remove your head from your ass.
I'm guessing the second issue of your newsletter will cover the scourge that is children running across your lawn?
I think the classic geek mistake is being made here... that just because it isn't right for them, it's not right for anyone.
That's not a geek mistake; it's a selfish turd mistake.
Interesting, the chatbot APK can take observations about itself and attempt to turn them on others.
Hmmm... Fairfax? Stafford?

Yeah, still hardly any 5.56 though :(
Hail to the king, baby.
So they are using drones and offering a million dollar reward to catch Chris Dorner, but people like you are allowed to walk the street?
Just try to stop a Mountain Dew drinker. I dare ya.
It's not a matter of what THEY allow, it's a matter of what Dew drinkers allow.
Try to stop one? I'd rather play catch with a rabid badger.
You do understand what "PR" means right?
Think about it; which one sounds better from a PR perspective?
I believe it's a phrase meaning 'bullshit'. Commonly used in CA and the NE corridor from DC to NYC. Particularly strong on Madison Avenue.
You put the lime in the coconut and you drink them both up.

apple juiice >>>>> soda
less sugar, no HFCS, less acidic, more elctrolytes.
Yeah, but how does apple juice compare to Brawndo?
Forget the internet, how do I erase something from my MIND? Pass the toilet bleach, would you?
Most of us use either mind bleach or eye bleach, but if your mind is synonymous with toilet...

have a fairly large penis. Sup with that!
Clearly we need penis length restrictions and a ban on high-capacity testicles.
There's no reason a private citizen needs assault privates.
