>>>Always good to see uneducated crazies are all over the world.
Always good to see people who are intolerant of Christians. If you can be tolerant of gays, and tolerant of people speaking ideas you disagree with, why can't you be tolerant of Muslims, Jews, and Christians too? They have as much right to "pursue happiness" as anybody else, even if you disagree with their religious philosophy.
Maybe it's because gays just want to enjoy the same rights that you enjoy; whereas Muslims, Jews and Christians want to remove the rights they feel disagree with their beliefs.
Their right to "pursue happiness" stops when they try to impinges on the rights to pursue happiness by others.
Umm, no that would be the worst possible outcome. The reason that there is a monopoly on first-class mail is to help the USPS be profitable. The USPS delivers mail to everyone, not just to urban areas with high distribution area. For-profit companies would pick-and-choose their delivery area much like the cable companies as well phone companies do with Internet services.
The higher cost of delivery for rural areas is subsidized by the lower cost of delivery and still costs less than 50 cents for most letters. I think it is unlikely FedEx or UPS could handle the volume the USPS does and make it as low cost for the consumer.
It's not just the SSL certificate that costs money. The hosting plan also has to support a unique IP per plan because HTTPS is incompatible with name-based virtual hosting. Specifically, HTTPS requires that the server send the correct certificate before even seeing the Host: header, which means the server has to choose based on the incoming connection's IP address.
Not entirely true, SNI has resolved this issue, but unfortunately until theseproducts are fixed, we will not be able to use it effectively.
I think this would have to be a huge boon for Pakistan as well. With Afghanistan being land-locked there are only 2 directions to the sea to ship it out, Iran and Pakistan. Pakistan would be wise to collect fees for providing the infrastructure to get ore to port.
Now we just need to figure out how to make this backward flow work for other media content like movies and music. Such as going to the theater would be free and the theater would charge the Movie companies for providing them with the audience to watch their movies.
Computer software is about utility - does it work or not. Items can be replicated infinitely. Because items are difficult to create, very few are created. Brand does not matter.
Brand does not matter? Really? Then explain why the phrase "Nobody ever got fired for buying X." (where X is IBM, Microsoft, Cisco, etc) is so prevalent in the IT industry. People buy computers strictly because of the brand be it Apple, Dell, HP, etc. and the some goes for software. OpenOffice is functionality equivalent for probably 99% of Office's userbase, but people still buy MS Office due to the Microsoft brand.
Brand makes a huge difference regardless of the industry.
"Zero-day attacks occur during the vulnerability window that exists in the time between when a vulnerability is first exploited and when software developers start to develop a counter to that threat."
The term "zero-day" has nothing to do with whether the updates are applied to a specific computer, only the time between an attack being found and the developers' releasing an update to fix. So once a patch is released at all, the attack is no longer zero-day.
The false positives will turn into real positives. When a machine gets marked as non-genuine, it stops receiving updates. Which means is WILL get 0wned by the next zero-day attack.
Not getting updates will not stop zero-day attacks. By definition, if there is an update available to stop it, then the exploit is no longer "Zero-day".
Also from South Park: Officer: "So, Trent, you just had to finish off your old preschool teacher, eh?" Trent: "No! They did it!" Cartman: "Trent Boyett is a liar, sir." Officer: "Ms. Claridge, did Trent Boyett do this to you." [two beeps] "Yes, yes. Take him away!"
Unfortunately, any energy efficiency gains were immediately wiped out upon launching a consortium "which aims to develop technology". I'm guessing this will be mired in various committees and be over-engineered to the point their design for networks will use twice the energy now and cost four times as much as they do now.
Your car analogy is wrong, because while you can choose what mechanic you have work on it, you are still limited to which replacement parts fit on your car. You can not just walk into an auto parts store and say "Hand me the closest alternator on the shelf, that's the one *I* want use", and expect that it will work.
Last week, we just "upgraded" our one of Vista machines to test Windows7 and it did the "upgrade" as we accidentally skipped the re-format screen. Surprising to me, none of the Applications are picked up by the installer for the start menu. Also we found out that Office 2003 will not work in Win7. We just re-installed Win7 to force a wipe the disk and get rid of all the installed apps left behind.
I was surprised that none of the installed Apps were picked up by the installer while upgrading. But then this is my first time upgrading Windows. I always just reformat and install.

Just wait until they learn about Rule 34.

Its wallet shaped; the tighter you clench it, in order to avoid paying claims, the more points you earn.

But does it predate Six Degrees. I remember using this service in the mid-90s.
I wish I had mod points for you, because I was thinking the exact same thing reading the summary. They should have put an Blu-Ray drive in there.

While the flight might be autonomous, apparently landing is not.
Clearly due to all the meth and coke on the cash.

Here's what you do: manually put the thing into a lower gear before it loses speed. Problem solved.
Every car I've ever driven turns off cruise control when gears are changed.
Clearly they will design this satellite to have its own team of robots worshiping the Master in order to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Where the hell is Asimov's Foundation series?
Considering how bad I, Robot was compared to the original short stories, I say: "No thanks!"
They're both foul?

You would deprive us of hundreds, if not thousands, of leaked nude photos of famous celebs just to save a little DNA?!?!? Are you insane, man????
I'm thinking either way, there is gonna be some DNA lost.
A thesis "defense" is an event where one defends one's thesis, not the document itself.
Sounds like you have an idea for the Fox Reality channel!

Shit, if it's going to be that kind of a party...I'm gonna stick my dick in the mashed potatoes.
