Like 6M and 1.25M? They are both pretty dead where I live (DFW). I have a radio that will do 6M but no antenna yet. I have yet to hear anything on it while spinning the dial. I do have a 220MHz receive-only radio but all the repeaters in my area are linked to either 2M or 70cM repeaters and serve no real purpose...
I remember reading a story about a couple of F-16 engines being hi-jacked from Ogden AFB years ago. We expected to see something akin to the Darwin Award story about the dude that hooked up C-130 jetos to his car and plowed into the side of a mountain not soon after...
Speakers are the only thing in my computer setup that would be considered old. Then my Sun Type-6 keyboard is next oldest. Everything has been modernized.
The country is already divided pretty equally down the middle. Religious zealots want pro life, guns, war, and no Gubberment. Non religious sensible folk want universal health care, no war, no class warfare, etc. Basically you can choose to progress to the future or regress to a cave, depending on which side you choose.
I'll take the former and progress to the future thank you very much.
What they really need to do is make it a spec for the next DoD project and it will get done. Making batteries for the sake of batteries isn't going to provide the payback that a usable product would. Didn't the Apollo program bring us the 8-bit microprocessor? How do you think the 8-bit micro would have turned out if we just made it without a purpose?
Voted during early voting (first day). Lines were long but it moved quickly. First time I ever used an electronic ballet. I'm all for technology but I prefer the old-fashion way...
If it were only that easy. One must submit the serial number to Oracle and then they use that to key the password generator to spit out the temp password that only last for 72-hours...
I have a Sun Enterprise M4000 server that has the fault light on. In order to clear the fault light, I must run the "clearfaults" command on the service processor. You must get a special password from now Oracle in order to execute the command... I should be able to run the command myself without paying Oracle for a support contract.
Here's my brief personal experience with LibreOffice:
I'm a long-time OO user and I have a template status.DOC and a template.XLS I submit every week for my consulting gig. Both are about 40-50K in size when I edit them and save them in OO. I decided to give LO a trial run and found that my timesheet was about 750K when I saved it. WtF? Out went LO and I'm sticking with OO...
I love the subdermal idea. I feel they should start tagging the entire human population. I'll be first in line. Imagine being able to log in to your computer by just walking up to it. Or have your car unlock and start up when you walk up to it. House unlock. Or house alarm goes off when an unrecognized RFID enters. You get the picture.
is at the top of my list of all time worst CEOs...

I would like to see if movie/music sales took a jump after the shutdown....

And who will IBM sell computers to when everyone is making $17K/year???
Got several amateur radios in my truck so no cell towers needed.
There is no way Balmer counts as the worst CEO fo the millennium. Carly Fiorina comes first.....

And I bet every blue state receives more than they pay...
Haven't you read the memo? And from now on, everyone must translate OSX (OS-10) when posting it's name...
Nice try. Fail!!!

You DO NOT have to get your computer inspected, you can CONTINUE to use it with the lit fault light.

Can you say "sending a message"? Sure, I knew you could...
That's because Triton knows as soon as Pelosi hits the water it's polluted forever...

Glad to see proof that Samsung does innovate and not steal everything from AAPL like all Apple Fanboys think.
