It is nobody fault if either you do not like them, do not know how to take advantage of them, or you are introvert enough to make the most of it.
The conferences are extremely useful for networking, and exchanging ideas and learn methods of work with peers in the industry.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but not everybody goes there for the drinks, or to meet "buddies". Some people apparently have work ethics...
And besides, there is a whole year to have drinks. For one who genuinely is interested in his field of work, why waste such a opportunity?
P.S. I wont come back to read an answer, so you can continue to write nonsense.

  2. I have no idea why would someone listen to evil Disney.
Or for that matter, any predatory firm, with dubious interests in Washington, a public rap of treating employees like garbage and being litigious as their core business model.

  12. Because the market is highly inflated, and it is a quite known way to rob people blind.
The fact that banks lend money over such a long span of time, also it means again there is a carte blanche to inflate even more the prices.

  13. And is way overpriced. 140 euros vs 10-20 for a MiBand, or 50 if you are being robbed blind by some Spanish scumbag.
