nothing wrong with monopolies as long as they dont start abusing it... google is a monopoly, see anything wrong with them yet? the fact of the matter, without intellectual property, there would be no reason to put your foot in the door first. if you come up with something and then someone else copies you but drops the price a little, you go out of business.
we watch movies because they are entertainment. when i go to a movie theater or look up what movies i want to watch, the political orientation of the producer or the author or some actor is totally irrelevant to me. im not going to not watch a good movie because i dont agree with someone who was part of its production
batteries in general are a thing of the past. they are incredibly inefficient, as they use a chemical reaction to create elecricity. all future research should be spent on graphene supercapacitors, which charge thousands of times faster than batteries and carry much more charge... graphene is also 100% biodegradable and totally flexible, which of course means we will be able to roll up our phones/tablets and put them in our pockets.
any larger company will realize that it would be cheaper to pay the 3000$ per person fine than it is to supply healthcare for every one of the employees. obama is pulling crap out of his ass if he really thinks that employers will stop being capitalists.
i think government is just getting annoyed that bitcoins have more value than dollars. that being said, it isnt money, it is the exact same thing as a virtual game currency... ppl trade it for what they want, and they set the value themselves.
google is perfectly capable of ousting just about every company currently in the tech world. hats off to them! im tired of paying huge sums of money for internet when i know that the companies would still profit if they were offering it at 1/10 the price. I want to see google succeed in destroying all the greedy companies and bring forth a new generation of technological availability
the problem with texting while driving has nothing to do with taking your hands off the wheel... it has to do with a. taking your eyes off the road to look at the texts and b. the amount of effort your brain takes away from processing road stuff to do a task.
obviously A is so much worse than B... but for some reason, the study is only with regards to B... saying that the B portion of texting hands free is no better than the B portion of texting with your hands.... when of course this is ridiculous, seeing as how A is much worse than B.
but that wouldnt be criminal gain.... it would be like if you had a store consisting of stolen items and bead jewelry... you made the jewelry yourself, and you are giving away the stolen items for free... your profit is entirely from something that is legal... the other stuff is just to attract attention.
because of this, while it is not legal for them to steal the items in the first place.. it is still not criminal gain, as their profit is all legal.
lol, when 5g comes out... it will be almost guaranteed that the dumb wireless companies will realize the error of their ways and start offering unlimited data again.(im still grandfathered on my at&t phone)
we arent the only place in the universe that can sustain life.... there are several other planets that have running water and are about the same distance from their stars. besides.. just because humans cant inhabit planets with larger gravity and hotter temperatures doesnt mean nothing can.

ethernet speed is limited by the speed of light. thus, it is not an ansible. technically, if we can get quantum computers to work, we wont need fiber optic cable, because qubits are quantumly entangled, and their information travels instantly.
it is a war between building a working biological computer and getting the quantum computers to add 2+2 correctly 100% of the time!
who will win? im betting on quantum computers. (especially since i would love to see an ansible sometime in my life)

most people use windows because every program works on windows. if every program worked on linux, a lot more ppl would use linux.
