honestly it wouldnt be too difficult to debunk a ton of the stuff in the bible... as long as you are talking to a SANE judge, and not a bible thumping lunatic

  2. Translation: "Noone wants to pay our price" on Time Warner Cable: No Consumer Demand For Gigabit Internet · · Score: 1

it seems to me that noone buys their top tiers because they charge more than google's gigabit fiber for 1/300th of the speed... no shit sherlock, noone is going to pay that kind of price.

you dont generally go public with an exploit until you have a fix for it. it seems silly to me to publicize a way to take over peoples' accounts that the person who found out is keeping quiet. if you do, then everyone who would be using exploits is now aware of an exploit that you cant fix in the immediate future

Software patents really need to just dissapear... it has gotten to the point where software developers are afraid that they will get sued every time they create something... this is just absurd.

  11. Re:Getting off easy on How Verizon's 'Six Strikes' Plan Works · · Score: -1

no, they really shouldnt... the MPAA and RIAA are being totally ridiculous... they are just stealing from ppl. all of their lawsuits are insane. you cant charge someone 100 million dollars because they download a few songs... imo, the lawsuit for these should be double the cost of buying the song legally.

if i recall correctly from the hipaa rules, it isnt the hospice that is required to pay the fine, im pretty sure it is the employees responsible. the incorporation isnt the one being charged with the loss of the patient data.

  15. i dont understand on School Shooting Prompts Legislation To Study Violent Video Games · · Score: -1

i think what they should be doing is finding ways to make schools safer, and not trying to raise other ppls' children. violent video games dont make people more violent... it is just that violent people play violent video games. the idiots all have the cause/effect mixed up. there are a very small percentage of children who actually thinks it is ok to do what these violent people do. the vast majority of children can tell what is right from what is wrong by the time they are at the age at which they can obtain guns. just because there are a few people who are mentally unstable, and probably have a sketchy upbringing doesnt mean the government should step in and ruin everyone's childhood

  16. disproportionate punishment on Music Industry Suits Could Bankrupt Pirate Party Members · · Score: -1

  18. Re:WTF is MBPS? on Netflix Ranks ISP Speeds · · Score: -1

megabytes per second. megabits is Mb, megabytes is MB. confusing, i know. a megabyte is 8 megabits. most internet from cable companies is measured in megabits, but this netflix thing is in megabytes. therefore, 2.55 MB/s would be equal to 20.4 megabits

  19. Re:Google Fiber 2.55 MB/s? on Netflix Ranks ISP Speeds · · Score: -1

it just means that much more ppl are using the free version, which is only 5mbit/sec, than the paid gigabit speeds. although, even that seems like a stretch to me. it is entirely possible that the netflix servers only allow downloading speeds to cap at 2.55MB/S, since there is no reason to go faster than that(it would never have buffer time)

  20. if money is important on Nationwide Google Fiber Deployment Would Cost $140 Billion · · Score: -1

  21. all about money on FCC Chief Urges FAA To Ease Airplane Electronics Ban · · Score: -1

a lot of companies ban the electronics not under the thought that it would bring down the plane, but more of the fact that if you cant use ipads, you are more likely to spend money on the in-flight movies.... and if you cant use your phone, you might be willing to pay for emergency calling.
