Burning H2 should produce NO Co2 except what was already in the air and what little you might get from burning any free CO or hydrocarbons that are naturally in the atmosphere. BTW I feel that was some of the best money my government ever spent.
Just supposed that Chamberlain had sent in troops when instead of trying for "peace in our time"? Would history talk about the waste of money and lives that action took? Imagine if a few thousand men and a few thousands pounds had been wasted in a brush war with Germany just to stop them form annexing a mostly German speaking area of so little country? Just think of what good England could have done with that money if they had taken the road of peace instead of war?
Wait , they did and Europe burned, and millions died.
Hey I don't have all the answers but I just don't think that it is as simple as you are making it out to be. At what point should we take them seriously? I am not sure that will happen in a big way on the desktop market. Take a look at the ARM. There are versions with an FPU and SSE like extensions that are more than fast enough for the average user. They have not caught on with desktop users. The new AMD X2s that sip power at 65 watts are great cpus for the average person. If I was going to buy 500 machines for people to run Office or Open office on I would jump at them. Yet most "enthusiasts" sites ignore them because the core2duo is faster. Outside the server market power just doesn't pop into many peoples specs when it comes to a computer.
My wifes next machine is probably going to be one of the power efficient AMDs. I do think that max power use has peaked in cpus for at least for a while. But I fear the need for speed will drive it right back up.

No when I say that there are no PS3 titles that I feel are worth the buy a PS3 it is a fact. You are guess that the titles coming soon will be good. As you said it is a gamble but I see it as a gamble with no upside. If these wonderful games do show up then I will buy a PS3. There is no shortage of them and the price isn't going to go up.
Right now there isn't any blue-ray dvds that I must have and I don't have a tv that can do 1080p anyway. So the PS3 as a DVD player is a none issue. I have a PS2 so the PS3 as a PS2 has no value for me.

You don't have to. But you can not have the fastest CPU. No matter how efficient they make the chip you will save power running it slower. There will always be a market that will trade off everything for speed. So yes you will always have to trade off power efficiency for speed. But and this is the big one. That is why after Chernobyl they where giving people all over Europe large doses of Iodine. The goal was to saturate everyones thyroid so it couldn't take up the bad Iodine. Strontium is bad because it "look" like calcium so your body stores it in your bones. Ones there is stays there practically forever.
