Colorado voter here. I sat at my kitchen table with my kids and made a big show of looking up information as I filled out my ballot (I had already done the research). Dropped off my ballot at one of the boxes along my way to work and was able to verify it was received in 2 days. Colorado had the 2nd highest participation in the 2018 mid-terms behind Minnesota. You can go vote in person if you want to but this is so much easier.
This sounds like a pretty convoluted way to hide bots without actually removing them, but I guess this keeps there user numbers/interactions up.
P.S. Twitter we still want an edit button.
Just saw some cool vertical plant growth at Epcot center that looked pretty cool, not sure how well it would work at scale but certainly worth investigating.
If you use Glassdoor more than a couple times it pretty much forces you to enter your salary information, that's how they build their database. I used Glassdoor a lot because of my job and the loss of functionality pretty much forced me to enter my salary.
Glassdoor already has a big jump on this information, it will be hard for LinkedIn to catch up. In an unrelated story, Microsoft has been screwing up LinkedIn since they bought it, I'm not using LinkedIn to tell business connections "Happy Birthday" or to track celebrity news.
Since moving to a shared-office environment I spend a lot of time wearing headphones and streaming stuff on YouTube. The new bands I'm introduced to that I like I head over to their Bandcamp page and buy the digital download. Most of them are are under $10 bucks and I think going through Bandcamp puts more of that into the bands pocket.
This is the same company that threatened to shame journalist with their late-night whereabouts if they wrote unflattering reviews, right? I see no reason not to allow them even more access to your data.
I don't care what kind of company Facebook says it is, I just want some context for why 10K people are talking about McChicken without having to click a link.
Apparently they have been sitting on these for a couple of months waiting for the right time to cause maximum chaos. There was plenty of time to scrub credit cards, phone numbers, etc. Either Assange doesn't care about what collateral damage he causes or the Russians didn't provide the data until right before release date.
But how do you do that when you have so little screen space? Do you sacrifice content for UI?
My biggest complaint about the direction UI have been moving is that EVERYTHING is being shifted to this concept. My desktop monitor is the size of a small television, you don't need to hide everything in tiny drop-down menus. Because designers are trying to make all interfaces the same they are working to the smallest denominator (phone screen) instead of optimizing interfaces for their intended usage.
The shuffle is okay but better than the alternatives I've seen. The 6th generation Nano was damn near perfect for running, I do not understand why they got away from that with the new one.
DC Rainmaker has in-depth reviews of pretty much every running/cycling/fitness device made for the past decade, I recommend looking there.

Does not exist. I've never heard of a Garmin that only has a 3 hour battery life, I think you may have gotten a lemon. I don't think Apple makes a nano/shuffle with bluetooth so she may end up using her phone for music. The GPS on the phone apps is not as good as Garmin or the other running watches so you will end up with at least 2 devices. I recommend the Garmin 220 for the watch, I don't have a good answer for music.

Another easy way to prevent this from happening would be DON'T BUY THIS SWITCH

I hope that anyone involved in that GUI redesign was let go, it was absolutely terrible.

Seriously, this isn't news. If I took my TLD on a plane Doc would lose his damn mind when the readings came back.
It seems like I'm being asked to log into my Roku apps on a monthly basis already, how much more do they want?

I'm sorry, wasn't one of Facebook's Board members one of the headline speakers at the RNC last week?
This sounds like something that would be very useful immediately after you get your new computer plugged in.
The submarine force has been conducting extended testing on the sort of person who can perform under these conditions for most of the past 100+ years.
The least important function on my smart phone is the ability to make phone calls.

Isn't this an EA game? I am sure they have plenty of additional content in the works to be released as DLC in time for Christmas.

Couldn't they just make a DSi that replicates the functionality of the WiiU gamepad?
