I'm just surprised how whistleblowers and IMF chiefs who question the value of the U.S. dollar always turn out to be peodophiles and rapists. I would almost suspect that someone is setting them up on those charges in an attempt to discredit them in the public eye (and erode any support they may have for their whistleblowing). But that's just silly. Besides, the only one capable of pulling that off is our fine, noble, honest government. And they would surely never do anything like that.
How good that experience will be remains to be seen
Well, it is a practical way to overcome the relative dearth of Linux games on Steam. But it probably won't endear this device to the hardcore Linux crowd, who were no doubt hoping for the Steambox to be a boon for Linux games (especially in light of a lot of recent pro-Linux talk by Valve).
The more you moderate a forum, or prevent users from posting anonymously, the less honest it will be. If you really must moderate, do like Slashdot and let the users do it.
Why does everyone badmouth that system? It wasn't the Playstation, but it wasn't that bad either. If you *really* want something to forget, the Virtual Boy and Power Glove are much better candidates.
Thank God that here in the U.S. we're protected from this kind of system. Sure, getting sick here without insurance can bankrupt you, drive you into lifelong debt, etc. But at least we don't have to put up with any red tape in our health care system!
Agreed. "Skeptical Science" is a one-trick pony. One look at their website will tell you that, despite their broad name, they are focused on one issue and one issue ONLY. They have an agenda to push, and they hide behind the pretense of real science and real scientific skepticism to do it.
James Randi is a skeptic. "Skeptical Science" are just cause monkeys.

I'm pretty sure that by the time oil get's THAT scarce, we will have long since moved on to nuclear and other sources of energy.
This is slashdot. Everything is MS's fault.
Godwin is worse than Hitler.
The Power Glove was made by Mattel, not Nintendo.
Just because Hitler didn't personally kill jews doesn't absolve him of responsibility.
If anyone wants to go into my dreams, be my guest. But expect to come out like those vegetables in Dreamscape.

Too soon?
So you're saying she didn't earn her place? Fucking racist!
Girls code. Girls hack.
Yes, but does THIS girl do any of that?
Oh wait, I just saw the pic and realized she's Asian, so she probably did actually earn her place.

America, America, God shed his grace on theeeeee!
The banker initiation involves kicking a puppy and stealing a little old lady's pension check.
"Econophysicists" - That's the REAL punchline.
We Slashlinguists understand the term perfectly, you insensitive clod!
I'm sorry, but I refused to buy genetically-modified cars.
Have you got a solution that doesn't involve regulation?
Yeah, nuclear energy.
David Allen Coe clearly needs to update his song.
What with them releasing all their games on Linux and requiring that all Steam games have Linux versions, and all.
Wait, that was just a dream? So that *didn't* happen??? But I am still married to Natalie Portman, right?
But it won several Oscars!
Just remember the phrase "This game is going to do for you what WoW did for Blizzard!!" in your pitch and you'll get funding, no problem.
I guess Rockstar wasn't buying any ads on Slashdot this week.
I read earlier today on The Escapist that they've basically suspended all PvP in the game. So it looks like they've got a lot of kinks to work out.
Do you have the slightest idea how many tons of carbon dioxide are put in the atmosphere by humans every year?
I'm breathing some out even as we speak.
