Ok. The problem is that the government is not allowed to sue the firms to get their money back. For example see the case with Oregon and Oracle. Oregon paid Oracle the money and got shit in return. The blame lays squarely at Oracle's feet.
What the hell are you talking about. I have a masters degree in chemical engineering and I have worked at a refinery. I am well aware of what they look like and how they work. I currently do plant design consulting work. Plans are underway for the construction of new refineries in North Dakota. The idea of the Keystone pipeline is not for domestic production. Oil is a commodity that is sold to the highest bidder on the global market Keystone It is specifically to refine oil in Texas to export through the gulf to the highest bidder. This is also by the way why the oil companies are lobbying to reduce export restrictions. I am not opposed to oil refining, all I am saying is that we should keep the oil here domestically instead of exporting it. In fact the US government is going to be stuck with the risk of the leakage of the pipeline and other spill contamination. Therefore, I feel the oil should be used for domestic demand only. Please stop trying to spread your FUD around here by claiming to be more informed than other people when you are not.

You can see for yourself that refinery capacity has increased. Stop spreading your FUD here.
You are not correct. Please check the numbers for yourself. It is true that some refineries were closed down (outdated equipment, higher maintainance cost, etc). However, there were are are new refineries being built and existing refineries are having their capacity increased. The refinery capacity of the US has increased in the past 5 years, not decreased.

Your point is false. Right now US exports of refined oil is at an all-time high. Refineries are not closing. In fact refineries are increasing capacity as we speak. Oil is a commodity which will be sold to the highest bidder. Why do you think the oil companies are trying to remove the existing export restrictions put in place from the 1970s OPEC shortage.

I think states like Mississippi are perfect examples of this hypocrisy about pork spending just like with the Lockheed F35 boondoggle costing over 1 trillion dollars because they employ workers in Georgia.
Most of the people where I work feel the TSA is doing a good job. In fact their response reminds of the Simpson's clip where Lisa sells Homer a rock that keeps bears away.
You cannot reason with people this ignorant. They actually believe that the TSA is preventing terrorism and that the only people complaining are brown people. The only way for people to question the TSA is if someone like Edward Snowden manages to get media publicity and expose a bunch of documents or expose some insider contract on those X-ray porno machines sold by Michael Chertoff.
The city government was not the problem. Most people made it out of Atlanta because salting tucks were on the streets. Its the interstates and local roads in gwinnett and cobb county that were backed up. That is the responsibility of the state government not the city of Atlanta.
How is it that Finland, Sweden, Norway, Singapore, etc all have decent educations PUBLIC education systems while managing to pay teachers very competitively with union representation? Until you can answer that question stop blaming the unions. The teachers here are paid much less than other professions and the parents here all want their kids to get A's regardless.
They did not spend $700 million. The total cost of everything including call centers and all in the contract was $350 million.

Obama did not order the parks closed. The national park office already posted on their website that they were going to close the parks in the event of a shutdown. The parks were also closed in the shutdown of 1995.
Also sequestration did have a noticeable effect. It cut funding for NSF, NIH, FAA, etc. Also it resulted in lower job growth during a recessionary time, when the macroeconomic analysis shows that increased government spending leads to increased hiring. http://www.ibtimes.com/cost-se...
The national parks office posted on their website that would close down the parks in the event of a shutdown. In fact during the 1995 shutdown the parks were also closed. The reason for this is because the government must only spend what congress has allotted. If the regular operations such as security to prevent vandalism to monuments are not funded, then there are alternate funding sources which cover the cost of putting barricades. I agree this is stupid, but that is the way it is set up. The alternate funding sources are only to be used in the purpose of a shutdown to put up barricades.
If you ask those questions they will arrest you uncooperative behavior, disorderly conduction, and resisting arrest. You will then appear before a judge and face up 30 years in prison and of course you will have to cut a deal with some stupid prosecutor for a $10000 fine or 3 years.
No what make this bullshit politics is that Newt Gingrich was essentially doing the same thing yet presiding over the impeachment hearings. I mean seriously, why the hell do you care if someone is getting a BJ. Claiming that this is somehow as bad as Nixon trying to cover up the fact that he negotiated an extension of the Vietnam war to win an election is just stupid.
Could you please point me to a peer reviewed single study that accounts for the overall warming that the earth is experiencing that does not reference CO2 contributing.
Then why are there good public school in Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, Singapore. Somehow the US is just sooo different then the rest of the world that nothing works here. If so why would charter schools fix the problem.
It has been shown from numerous health studies that proper sex education about birth control, condoms, and abortions will reduce unwanted childbirths. Also the more educated a woman gets, the less kids she is likely to have. (Woman with graduate degree have on average 2.1 kids while women without high school degrees have on average 5 kids). Unfortunately, the GOP is against sex education.
You do realize that most people on food stamps already have jobs right. You might not realize it, but those associates at Wal-Mart and fast-food workers that you brush off as less than human are relying on food stamps.
You still have not provided any evidence that this was because of welfare. I agree there was mismanagement of city funds, but that has nothing to do with welfare.
Detroit collapsed because people left as the auto industry there was collapsing. This had nothing to do with welfare. Also there was the whole thing with white flight which drastically drove down property values. Corruption of city officials and mismanagement of funds also contributed. However, if the pensions were adequately funded as they were supposed to be, then Detroit would be fine today.

I think you need to look to India as an example of what happens when Monsanto decides to invest and give seeds to farmers. Monsanto locks them into a contract to buy seed, pesticide, and herbicide from them. However, the yields of the GMO crops were the same as non-GMO crops so the farmers were out the cost of all those chemicals. Millions of farmers in India committed suicide over this. You have to remember that Monsanto is a chemical company not a seed company. Their only goal is to control the world's food supply through licensing and patenting seeds to increase the market for their chemicals.

You linked to an article from 2008. I provided data upto 2013. You have not proven anything by linking to an outdated article. You are in fact wrong.

Israel's defense is entirely paid for by the US, We still give them 10 billion a year in financial aid.

Plenty of red states with no teacher's unions have crappy schools (Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, etc). How do you explain that????
