    I don't buy many games. My son downloaded
    a demo version of Red Alert a couple of years ago.
    I really enjoyed watching him play. He had to
    "think" about what he was going to do. I got
    hooked myself. We got a copy of Tiberiun (sp?)
    Sun.

    It's great! Have to manage resources, setup
    defenses and coordinate weapon systems to win.

    I semi understand how this works. I don't have
    a radio that will work at that frequency. Could
    I tune to a distant TV station and get the same

    Now if only I could get DSL. Cable modems are
    about a month away, but, I don't like all the restrictions. If I'm going to pay for "always on"
    I want to be free to anything I want to, as long
    its not commercial.


    My 56k is much better than that 300 I started
    with. I can wait.

    I saw a poster years ago about the next
    generation of computers.

    It was like a 3d bar chart comparing the US to
    Japan in the race. The US bar was much higher. People (men) where drawn on top of each bar.
    The Americans where fighting each other, like
    king of the hill stuff. The Japanese where standing on each others shoulders.

    Funny, haven't thought about that picture in years.

    Is it something I could do?


    I think it's just a way to create all the needed
    directories and move files into them.

    I saw a TV program about the people in Silicone
    Valley that are driving this internet explosion.

    Most seemed to be in their 30's. Quick math
    tells me they where 10ish when personal computers
    started hitting the market. These people grew up
    with the technology.
