the individuals are not even bothering to check behind them, or check their side mirrors, etc.because the safety devices in the cars would warn them. The industry has been dumbing down driving. I have always seen this as a problem. You tell individuals buy our car and you won't need to worry about something they won't.
Also if the safety devices may be perfect, How are driver less cars to work at this point in the development cycle. I believe in driver less cars but feel they are further in our future than most think.

Note the Tesla driver putting his car on auto pilot and then watching a movie before his wreak. Can't say that was really Tesla's fault! They say your supposed to be poised with your hands hovering over the wheel and aware of the situation and be ready to take control. In that case I would just be doing the driving to help me stay aware and awake.

  7. I don't know about evil. Google is a corporation that has reached critical mass (Size, Money, Power).

Internally they feel that they are the sharpest tacks in the box. That their opinions and beliefs are beyond reproach. And thus it is perfectly fine for them to guide(rule) the lives of those less enlightened.
On a business side they are as always a marketing company that uses tech as a tool. They are currently driven by one thing and one thing only their stock price and making money. But that is how it should be. The problem comes up because they make money by collecting and selling information on the public. Which often is not in the best interest of the public. But the information is what their customers wish to buy. So they have a fine line to walk and are not always successful.

  8. All of the stuff about google has finally made me think things over. I know that google(youtube also) search results are bias when in the political ideology area. It is especially apparent in youtube search results for things like #WalkAway. But I have just navigated through the old links getting top placement to find the newer stuff.

Anyway I digress, I have checked out other search providers and have decided to start using DuckDuckGo more.

a browser that works for interacting with the internet. I don't need a play toy that has a new version every week with features I need to try to turn off/ignore/find workarounds for. To the real world a browser is just a tool. Not an epic thing in itself. I don't use chrome much because I dislike their useless feature driven junk and it's huge foot print, slow performance, lousy UI, etc (starting 10 tasks). I also wonder what a browser made by a marketing company that makes money by selling out their users (data and privacy) is doing in the background.
Do the task, Do it well, Fix broken things otherwise leave it alone! Most everything that is being added now is excess junk.
The concept that developers should always be adding new features is a mistaken course. Constantly redesigning the UI is a waste. Make it work and work well then only add really important things when the need comes up. And resist adding junk and calling them features.
And dumbing down and hiding things from the users is a mistake! Granted some don't have a good grasp on reality but such is life.

Exempt Organizations: What Are Employment Taxes?

You do not pay in to it. It is an additional government tax on business for the honor of hiring an employee. In order to hire you, the business must pay the government a percentage of your wages. This (Unemployment) does not come out of the employees earnings at all like FICA tax does.
BTW your employer is required to match your FICA payment. If an individual is self employed like me, pays 15.3 % FICA ( employee half 7.62%, employer half 7.62%) + Federal taxes (10% - 22%) + State Taxes (~7%) + Local Taxes (~5%). Better yet, those tax rates apply on incomes in tax brackets under 100k. So we are not talking rich here we are talking middle class.
