>The author is looking at this from a tech geek perspective, trying to find explanations in terms of mathematical or technological influences.
If the author was a tech geek, they wouldn't have opened by derping about using DVDs on a laptop, because they would have been playing MKVs from the hard drive for many years now.
They'd also realize that a virtual DVD scheme that limited the number of movies played aver a certain time-period would add a cause of frustration to the online process. Those of us that use Netflix over the Internet are accustomed to playing as many movies as we want.
You're confused. Capitalism no longer works if the workers can be replaced by machines. We'll have to shift to a more socialist system of we don't want a dystopia where a very few hold all the wealth.
I don't think that most people are going to be interested in having VR goggles attached to their heads, so it seems an odd fit for Facebook. It might appeal to the most technology-loving 2% of their user-base. Porn might add another 5%, but I really don't see most Facebook users going for this.
>Vegetarian and Vegans: Tend to look more aged then more omnivorous peers. They seems to look worn down, while thin they are not skinny.
That could just be because they're thinner. subcutaneous fat can make people look younger than they are.
>People who eat a lot of meat: Seem to be much heavier, and have particular health issues in digestion.
I eat a lot of meat, and am 6'2", a muscular 225lbs with very little body-fat and no digestive problems. It's all a matter of staying active. Lift weights, and do cardio, and you can look and feel great on any diet that provides adequate nutrition.
That doesn't demonstrate that it's all about the money. Some preachers know that they're selling BS, others actually believe their derp. I think Ham is an emotional thinker, and actually believes the nonsense he spouts.
>While I love my android tablet for personal stuff, its not capable of handling my work activities.
On its own it's not, but you can use Spashtop to remote into a personal or work PC to use software that requires Windows. I'd have bought a surface, but an Android tablet remoted into a Win 8 PC is close enough in functionality that I can't justify the expense of a Surface.
>In the toyota case lots of people were having problems
Put elderly people in Teslas, and they'll have many people complaining too. There are many more Toyatas, and very few feeble-minded people driving Teslas.
With an 120hz display and glasses, each player can have their own full-screen, rather than split screen. I haven't used this tech myself, but it seems like the way to go for in-person 2-player gaming.
>Okay, not really. But I was just lamenting last night how because of Xbox live/PSN, people don't get together to game as much.
With life in general, people don't get together as much, because friends scatter to various states and countries over their lifetimes. Thanks to online gaming, I can get together to game with friends that I haven't seen IRL in years.
>$ can't afford to let the Steam box become the dominant PC gaming platform (or at least a major player) as it's threatening to become.
Is it? I'm interested in Valve's new controller, but not in a Steam Box, and I don't know anyone who is. Breaking Microsoft's monopoly on AAA games would be terrific, but I have serious doubts that the Steam Box is going to do it.
I'd pay extra if they redo season 1 with talented actors. Animation would be fine.
It's tough having to tell people that Season 1 is tough to watch, but it gets great by season 2.
I realized that Windows 8 is pretty good when I got my first BSOD Sunday while updating the video driver. I hadn't even thought about the fact that using Win 8 since release I had never had this happen, until it finally did after so much use. Windows self-repaired on reboot, and the system is rock-solid again.
On topic: I had to abandon SpashID Safe when an automatic update hosed the software, losing data and making the UI less-pleasant. I'm now happy with mSecure, and have automatic updates turned off so I can read reviews before install. I wouldn't have to do this if rollback was allowed.
Sure some will, just like some people destroy themselves with drugs, but a small current to your pleasure center might just increase enjoyment of life, rather than withdrawal from it.
Our baseline condition is pretty bad. Out of control appetites, greed, envy, violence, laziness, tribalism, superstition, etc... There's a lot of room to improve our selves via drugs and technology.
Plenty of Russians came out to protest Putin's actions. He appeals to their ignorant social conservatives, and sadly also appeals to the worst of our Republican types.
Stupid people love violence and superstition, and Putin exploits that just like American Republicans do.
There are plenty of sane Russians, just like there are plenty of sane Americans. We just both suck at marginalizing our wackos.

>The only thing that makes sense is that said buyer is buying end users
Of course. Isn't that obvious? It's the users that have value to Facebook, not some little piece of software.

>Just let it go already. You didn't mine Bitcoins at the beginning and now you're pissed off because you're not rich.
I'd think that that would have sounded stupid in your head, so you wouldn't have posted it. What went wrong?
You're right. My first though was "time to donate to Wikipedia."

I hope you're right, and people start making more OpenGL games rather than DirectX. Time will tell.

You're coming across like the American far-right. Tyrants appeal to the worst of us.

Civilized people do not support vengeance or torture.
Ads like on the Citadel in Mass Effect 2 are probably inevitable.
It would be cooler if we didn't have traitors revealing our spying capabilities.
I understand the anger about the gov spying inappropriately in the US, but spying on other countries is actually the NSA's job.

Has knowing that you have this mutation caused you to change your life in any way?

I had to scroll pretty far down to find a reasonable comment on this topic.
Slashdot seems to be full of outrage addicts these days.
It sounds like you can't handle change. Pluto doesn't fit the definition of a planet. It's that simple.
