    Because it lacks consideration the GPL will not hold up in court.

    Thanks Clinton. I disagreed with most of the stuff you did, but helping to ensure that kids get supported by their fathers seems like a pretty good idea to me.

    Insurance companies are also using credit scores to help determine rates for auto coverage.

    Glad to hear it. Let's be honest and call a spade a spade. People who mismanage their credit are irresponsible! It's a shocker, I know.

    Don't forget that the insurance companies have the nasty issues of moral hazard and adverse selection to deal with. Stratedies that help them deal with these problems ultimately mean fairer insurance rates.

    The only thing that restrains it is a priori regulation.

    What happened to judges throwing out baseless cases?
    What happened to State Supreme Courts actually disbarring these pernicious highwaymen?

    Because the lawyers have been so pitiful in policing their own, it looks like Bush is going to do it for them.

    Eh? I didn't say I was for anything. Learn to read dumbass. I was outlining a viable strategy for them. Global Crossing is in effect transporting stolen goods. Register.dom is in effect facilitating the transportation of stolen goods. The RIAA should attempt to force them to stop, and would probaly be fairly succesful in doing so.

    Your post made no sense at all. I didn't advocate any company stealing anything.

    The other Ace in the hole that the RIAA has is going after users. Wait till they sue 500 or so of the most pernicious "sharers" at your local university. Would you step in to replace them?

    The economy grew at 4% last quarter. You do realize the '01 recesion was the shortest in 20 years right?

    So? The absolute size of the defecit isn't important, it's the size of the defecit relative to the size of the economy. The current estimates are much smaller than the defecits of the past. Look at the bond market, ie the market where this debt will be traded. The yeild curve has hardly budged.

    It was the biggest flop in 5 years. So much buildup, so much hype, and so dull. It was just as bad as Black and White, and that game recieved half the attention that NWN did before release.
