So the size of the bills determines how much useless change you have in your pocket... If that's the case you're not an Anonymous Coward but an Anonymous Idiot...
Here's the example you asked for: www.hio.hen.nl It's the computerscience department (hio) at the Hogeschool Enschede (hen) in the Netherlands I studied there from 1990 till 1996 and me email there was (IIRC) brakes@hio.hen.nl and that 'naming method' is still being used...
Just as most 'analysts' the predictions he makes are just so damn global they can mean anything or they're extremely obvious...
just giving the numbers here and my comment: 1) Ofcourse MS will. That's what they already wanted to do with the Xbox and failed (IMO) and they still are doing this... Geeez what a prediction...
2) Do I really need to say anything about this... It's pure bullshit...
3) Geez don't we already know this...
4) Geez, all these companies already told this to everybody who wanted to hear this... My my what a prediction...
5) Rubbish...
6) I predicted this at the start of the SCO case and everybody knew this from the start...
7) Nonsense...
8) Can't comment on this because I don't live in the USA.
9) I expect HP to grow, Sun will stabilize and Dell will indeed start to compete in new markets as they have done every year the last 2 or 3 years...
10) Can't comment on this one as I don't know the situation.
11) Geez, ofcourse WiFi will grow... and ofcourse progress and service will be spotty... and ofcourse a new business model won't work...
12) Can't comment on Wall-Mart as I can't buy there etc and I'm not living in the USA...
13) Can't comment on this as I don't know anything about Apple.
14) Geez... how surprising. But the strange thing is: all the candidates will be against outsourcing because it's bad for the number of jobs in the USA... So don't expect to be able to pick the winner on this point...
15) That's something they already do for the last 4 years... Nothing new here And ofcource Bill Gates won't get the Nobel Peace Prize... Which idiot would expect that...
Come back in 363 more days and see how I did;) He's just like the gypsy at the local fair... obvious things and then claiming he thought it up...
And the stupid thing is that the first user added has the same privileges as the administrator. Most systems have only one account besides the administrator and there you have your root exploits...
Second, for that "coming soon" page to show up, they MUST have propagated an IP address into the DNS servers. This suggests they could have just as easily propagated YOUR IP address instead of theirs. Which gives them incentive to delay your processing.
Ehh which IP adres then should they propagate if they don't have it yet... This is the same kind of lawsuit of that one against the manufacturer of that microwave which didn't clearly state in the manual that you should not put your cat in it... Isn't that obvious??? Use your brain, that's what it's there for.. If you buy a canister of paint because you want to paint your house, you don't expect the paint to jump onto your house itself, or do you?
considering those IT employees: fire them! or get them to study some basic UNIX administering which probably will suffice. I work at a company with about 150 people. We have about 5 large UNIX servers and some Linux servers who are all under pretty heavy load: No problem at all, they're only being rebooted for hardware maintenance. Since some time the mail and some other administration tools run on Windows servers, which are all 'overpowered' for their jobs. These are the machine which give the most problems... Installing (security) patches, deinstalling them again because they break critical applications, restoring them after a crash... Now take a guess which machines take most of the time to administer and therefore have the largest TCO. Every independant study will show that the TCO of Windows (whatever version) is higher than that of most UNIX derivates.
Don't overrate Nirvana's Nevermind. Considering influence it doesn't get near 'Sgt Pepper' or 'the Dark Side of the Moon'. It did cause some changes but it's not nearly as influential as the other 2 mentioned. IMHO these changes would also have taken place without Nevermind. They had already started with the Pixies... Conceptual artists: Radiohead, Tool, the Gathering, Eels and there are more...
Basically we want fair competition, we don't want genetically manipulated food and we don't want meat bathing in hormones. This has nothing to do with it being american but just with it being 'genetically manipulated'. The EU also has a long history of setting ridiculous tariffs, or banning, imported products from companies they don't like or that have policies the EU disagrees with.:%s/EU/USA/g This goes both ways...
I can only give an answer to the 4th question. Because you can't do the job or you won't do the job. The company I'm working for is currently building up an office in the U.S and we're having problems getting people to stay with us. Apparantly it's the mentality in the U.S. to switch jobs every year or even more often and it takes some time to find your way in the code of our software. Because of that we have to place people from here (the Netherlands) in the U.S. to get the work done for our customers over there.
Greatly improved compared to Windows 2000 or XP doesn't mean anything.
I'ts like 100% more than 0 is still 0...

Bloody ignorant idiot... That's Jan Tinbergen, one of the most influential economists of the century...
