    By Missouri law-
    "Missouri's statutes define law practice as, among other things, "the drawing or the . . . assisting in the drawing for a valuable consideration of any paper, document or instrument affecting . . . [legal] rights."
    So if I, all by myself, draws up a will, I'm breaking the law? According to TFA, every single page on the website has disclaimers that this is not true legal advice. Another interesting facet is if found guilty, would this affect EULAs?

    I got tired of reading anti-Apple vs. pro-Apple arguments, so I pose this simple question(s)- If you don't like it, why use it? If you like some parts of it, but are missing things that it used to have, why not keep both versions? Is it really this fucking hard for people to understand? Same shit that happened with Microsoft's 'Ribbon.' Yeah, I get that complaining will get it fixed, but this Biscardi guy sounds like Apple killed his dog and banged his wife, probably in the same night.

    I'd just like to say not to hate the entire Corps itself, but rather all the political stuff that goes on that guides and or forces how they work. I don't know what level up you want to blame (local commanders, regional, national, etc.), but I think the grunts (those who get told to 'go build a berm') try as hard as they can to keep as many people safe as possible.

    The southwest tends to have a lack of enough water. Missouri & Miss rivers tend to have floods once in a while. Howabout building some reservoirs in the SW and pipe some of that extra water to there? I have no idea what that type of scheme that would involve, but it seems like a better way to spend money than fighting useless wars.

    Did we start doing this somewhere like 150 years ago with dead frogs? Bruce Lee used this type of electro-stimulation to work out his muscles. All Sony is doing is controlling it with a new control program that makes your hand go to Sony.com and order lots and lots of crappy hardware. :)

    If you "love what you do", but want to do something else, but don't want to do that something else forever, do it on your own time and make up your own site or something. You don't stop doing something you love doing for something you only want to do for a bit, except as a side job or hobby. Ask to get some more work on projects when you're not busy. Sure, go back to school or take some classes, education is always good.
    Don't take this personally, but having a really hard time finding a job right now, I kinda want to slap you for complaining about a job that you love to do.

    Or maybe you think "This guy/gal likes to nail down everything before making a crucial decision."? Of course, this is about above low-level employees, but I'd like my people to think and check stuff before just saying, "Why yes, I would love to buy 20,000 weasel water pistol for our company! Can you make them cherry flavored, too?"

    The problem with an oral agreement, if not recorded nor witnessed, is that the other guy can say "Um, no, I never said that." Highly doubtful that a judge will look at a contract that says "$10 to mow my lawn" but go with the mower on the basis of "He said I'd get $20 if I did a good job."
    Or did I just repeat what you already said?

    The whole 'pay to read' research thing bugs me. Even in grad school (where I paid fees for access), some databases required extra payment for articles. Even as a member of IEEE I need to pay extra for various database on IEEE.
    If you have published your article, why do I have to still go and pay for it? Yeah, sure, I'm going to track down a physical copy of Scientific American from 1967 somewhere. It's not really the payment itself (there are costs involved, I realize that), but how friggin' expensive it is. Up to $35 for an article from 15 years ago? $250/year for some databases? Screw it, I finished my research work, I don't need to care about this anymore unless the company is paying for it from now on.
