Epson-Kowa have scanner drivers for Linux. I use iscan. It seems to get a better color balance than xsane. However, it can only create 8-bpp files, unlike xsane that can get 16-bpp. Look here: http://www.epkowa.co.jp/english/linux_e/dl_scan.ht ml
This is not unusual. If you practice speed reading, you do not read out each letter of a word as you reading text. You are trained to look for patterns of words and phrases.
I seem to remember that about the time that the LTE Elite came out, there was another laptop that allowed the LCD screen to the folded back over the keyboard base. I don't remember the name, but it might eliminate have to remount all the parts.
Crappy security... Probably not... Maybe the terrorists were armed, maybe not... Get enough people on a plane and you can overpower anyone with or without guns, bombs, explosives and the like.
Anyone who is determined enough can defeat any security measures you might put in place...
Did you hear about a South African Armory that was broken into? The big thick steel door was not touched... The villains chiselled out the mortar and bricks at the side of the door to make a hole big enough to crawl through.
Two comments about GIMP:
1) There is no support for color management.
2) No support for 16 bit.
Item 1 is really critical.
... is the only true browser.
I looked at this one... However it does not build with with GIMP 2.0... look at the site:

It is probably still gimp 1.x code!

It would seem that it is SCO that has attempting to defraud IBM. That has been the pretext for the whole law suit against IBM.
Just send Amazon a shoestring.
Really guys, this is an old one.
I checked the Cyberlink site. No mention of Linux in the Product Requirements. All Winblows. Did a search on their site. Nothing.
This must be a bogus claim from Turbolinux... Are they running under Crossover or Whine?
That should read MS greed.
So it's Ok for SCO to sue IBM but it's not Ok for SCO to be sued.

Looks likes SCO is trying to hijack SGI's code and claiming it this theirs.
... shouldn't that be LoseMe.
Does that mean that just having windows means that the job has been done?
some grams.
I never did like this guy. That video of Ballmer prancing about a stage like a baboon a couple of years ago did not impress me.
Why the web site? The EULA should be displayed on the outside of the box... in normal size print that can be read without a magnifying glass...
You would also need to have a box larger than a cereal box to read the license!!!
If we want to keep the jobs in the USA we should look at making use of USA resources and not looking at who else can do the job.
If the old package works then why upgrade?
Does that mean that Microsoft want to make charitable contributions illegal?

Strange how you like using an AMERICAN invention... the Internet.
Strange that the US did not want to get involved in Yugoslavia... blame the Brits for getting us in there.
:-)
So you did not try linuxconf?
