There was a case of one 15 year old girl walking home past midnight on her own from a party or some such, and police monitoring cameras spotting her and monitoring her (obviously with some concern)
Concern? If they were really concerned about her safety they would have sent someone over to her BEFORE a crime would have taken place. Do we really have to be shot or stabbed before a couple of LEO's will get up and do there job. My guess is that they were watching her with something other then concern minds and just happened to watch the crime.
Computer minds can be so easily corrupted. They so no real difference between being told to kill the enemy or to kill anything that moves. They would comply to either command and keep doing it till there task is done. I would fear the day if an enemy force could hack in one and have instant eyes and ears of what is going on, probably a built in GPS unit as well. Deciding to kill something is not a task made for a computer mind, unless they have human operators somewhere in the mix, only bad will come of it.
You have Listed about every single utility I use for my rescue disks right now. Except that I have a copy of winipcfg and msconfig for windows 2000 and XP, which comes in handy.
Here in the Durham reigon (in ontario canada) the 905 area code coveres a rather large area and many parts of it are long distance from each other, so the phone company has it setup that if the call is free and local, you dial 905-xxx-xxxx and if it is long distance you die 1-905-xxx-xxxx, it does help keep things simple. I wonder why other phone company's like to complicate things.
The biggest problem with that is that $3/month is an annoying price to pay. You would have to use paypal or a credit card for it, which charge interest or service charges, so now it is 6 bucks a month or perhaps more, and there in lies the problem. If you could figure out some way of getting payment without causing your customers to pay perhals double the advertised price, then you might get somewhere.

Hmm, don't certian websites use this same model with news stories?;)
If you upgrade to outlook XP, it gives you a little warning saying that the e-mail contains script that outlook does not support, so maybe this is microsoft's way of 'encouraging' everyone to go XP.
I can finally find out of the girl across the room is whispering to her friend about the hot guy across the room, or the creepy guy that is pointing a cell phone at her.

I'd be funny to see a bunch of marines trying to order a robot around.
"Ain't you hearing me boy?!? Pick up the damn bags!!!"
"Error, please restate request."

I wonder how Monty Python would have tackled LOTR.
I doubt much would have changed, except that it might be a golden banana grown in the deep green houses of mordor...

Norton will be having a recall of its anti-virus product someday when the install is infected with w32.stoned or something just as stupid.
Looking at all these new shinny console's and neverending online RPG's makes me wonder why the hell I should care.

After you have seen hapsters dance on your monitor about 47 times, it looses it appeal.
