Storage requirement would depend on DPI. You're 'only' looking at ~10PB at 600 DPI. Then again you'd expect most everything to be procedurally generated anyways...
I don't see what your example has to do with multitasking. What you're asking for is a way to manipulate system settings from custom apps -- having the settings app run in the background just saves you a few 'clicks'.
Well not necessarily. If the 'sugar on a stick' build expects to be able to write to the stick, you'd need to add something like UnionFS in order to be able to run it from a cdrom. Not to mention that you'd need to setup something to keep users' settings in between reboots (e.g. a usb stick).
Offtopic but somewhat related: Cheeseburger Brown (author of Simon of Space and The Darth Side: Memoirs of a Monster) is writing a story right now titled The Secret Mathematic. It's about the discovery of a new kind of math that can be used to effect (no, it's not a typo) the universe. It's up to chapter 20 so far. http://cheeseburgerbrown.blogspot.com/
That's assuming the ADC actually only samples at 8khz. It's entirely possible that the phone records audio with a sample rate and resamples it before encoding and transmitting.
Is it possible to allow access to wikipedia while blocking users from editing it? Perhaps using URL filtering? I know it's against the wikipedia 'spirit', but it's better than no access at all.
The fire consumed the storage area at the back of the building, but Human Head's area was mostly protected by a firewall, the Madison Fire Department told Next-Gen yesterday.
YEAAAAAHHH!!

There isn't anything in the Toyota's owners' manuals about using glue as engine oil either. What's your point?
Ask for a glass of water. ...I don't get it.

It bursts into flames and then explodes.
You could add http://images.slashdot.org/articles/ to your adblock filter, that should do the trick.
Either that or it injects music into your eyeballs.

Who cares about control lines? The flash chips are what's expensive, not the addressing lines.

Hm a somewhat on-topic post (yeah it's a first):

So you're saying that since some people leave bottles of beer everywhere, you should be able to leave cigarette butts everywhere too? Nice.
Ok, the haunted apiary was cool, but this time Bungie has gone to far!
It's not their assets that Google wants, it's their clients.
I heard about it on the interblag!
You mean Zero Mission? It was a port/enhancement of the original Metroid on the NES.
