It was the only selling point for my wife when I got my PS2. She wanted a gamecube and didn't like any PS2 games; thankfully she founds lots of PS1 games that she enjoyed and I got my PS2.:)
337 fooled me.. and then I started watching the hitcount at the bottom of the page and forgot about the number up top!... hopefully it didn't pass by:)...
So, which seems to perform better in the 3D department? I really would love to get a framerate higher than _5_ in UT2003 under linux; which is crazy since the UT2003 demo ran perfectly fine. So, has anyone compared the two yet?
I thought the whole point of a one time pad was it was only used _ONCE_ ? You are using it twice here. I'm sure the more times its used, the greater the chance of breaking it.
Um, you have what sounds like a good job. If it seems like a good company why not sign? I would gladly sign anything for a high paying job right now.:)
I completely disagree, stay in, get your degree. I've found many non programming jobs which have wanted a CS degree probably because the HR person thought it would make them better to fix a server. I do think you should get it and you probably won't regret it. You want every advantage you can get and a degree is a great one.
I've found the web to be a much better place since using mozilla. Another great thing is my 1800 line hosts file which redirects the majority of ad servers to 127.0.0.1. Now, that seems like the simple and easy way to do it, but is there any way to get statistics on how many ads I'm missing and how much bandwidth I'm saving or am I better off not knowing?
Works on RH 8.0 with a Radeon 8500LE! I just installed the RPM with a force option (to overwrite with the include libGL), ran the little configure utility included and was up and running. I've tried Xine (which seems faster), some GL screensavers (which HAVEN'T frozen my machine solid) and X just seems generally snappier. All in all, I'm very pleased.
You might get your butt kicked by ordinary Americans, but the gov't isn't going to call the FBI to kick in your door. THAT'S the difference, gov't vs. citizen sponsered censorship.
How do you monitor and track the overall status of the database?
Is there a custom application written to tell you queries/sec, size growth/day, time to return query, overall cpu usage etc of the entire database?
How do you know when its time to add hardware or time to clean the database?
How does google handle dead links and/or dynamic links?
Can you track search trends and correlate with world events?
Does google track and graph usage by country?
How many years of development do you think it will be before search engines are able to intelligently make decisions based on queries and return valid results without having those exact words?
And, finally, just what is your bandwidth usage?:)
How was this post not branded a troll?? As someone who has been through the Maine public education system I would have to disagree with your statement. As someone who also has performed work on many Maine school networks I think alot of them are doing okay. In fact I know of one who just installed a Linux terminal server and is quite happy with it.
I believe Apple is selling the iBooks for $300 a piece (wish I could grab one for that price) so they are taking a loss on this one. Apple probably is betting that this will help them make a comeback in the school. It will be very interesting to see if they can pull it off (the other solutions that lost served up terminal apps and web pages over WAN connections) on a tablet type device. Unlike the other solutions however, I think Apple is doing the whole thing at a loss. As Mainers here know (myself included), this entire plan has not been without controversy. I for one think its a neat idea.
ack.. I tried reading that.. but for the love of God.. use paragraphs!!!

I don't know about that, I got on it my 43rd try. Wget is a beautiful thing.

Well, its a heck of a lot better than _1_ try.

For some reason my code just never gets up and runs when I type make so you must be a better man than I. :)

Actually, to the esteemed Slashdot moderators, would it be possible to keep this topic front page to increase signup traffic???
I come here FOR the bias. Its more fun that way. :)
