    I'm a little concerned that the marketing has exceeded the technology here. The entire point of the SS games (as contrasted with SS2) was to swamp you with goons.

    So... where are they?

    The screenshots look purty, but if I were writing SS:FE:HD, then I'd start with a screen full of goons, and tailor the detail to keep the framerate up. Showing a couple of high detail models, wow, it's like they're demoing the exact opposite of SS.

    I have a feeling that somebody's going to be working a lot of overtime to deliver on that promise, and it's not going to be the marketing guy.

    Indeed. The US and UK spell some things differently. "Color" vs "colour", "gray" vs "grey" and "politicians" vs "robber barons".

    Democracy needs to come with a "none of the above" option. Choosing the sock puppet on the left or the sock puppet on the right is not real choice.

    I can see one significant difference. If you use a (heheh) "secret" cheat to get through a section, you didn't didn't learn how to play through it yourself.

    If you watch the game play itself through that section, you can at least go back and attempt it yourself now that you know how.

    In that respect, it's much like the walkthrough videos that YouTube is replete with. You know, an actual "trainer", rather than a God mode.

    Sure you do, assuming that you can keep the warranty for 25 years, that you can identify an extant company that's closely related enough to the warranter (manufacturer? retailer? installer?) for you to collect from, that they're minded to honor the warranty, and that they still supply anything even remotely equivalent to the old panels.

    Given that most people can't even manage to claim on 30-day rebate offers, do you really think that a 25 year warranty is worth the paper it's written on?
