    Hardly. I think this blog post sums it up best. http://amandablumwords.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/3/. She didn't try and work with anyone, she wasn't out to correct anything. She was out use her bully pulpit to 1: make herself more important 2: hurt those that had the audacity to offend her. That said it doesn't excuse by ANY means the attitudes show both for and against her position that went well beyond the pale. What's more sad is at the VERY SAME conference she was offended at she made this jewel: https://twitter.com/adriarichards/status/312265091791847425. Reeks of hypocrisy.

    Right, so you wish to tax for potential gains. Do you get refunds of losses? I mean they want to take unrealized gains (that you may not have cash for) so you get money back for the unrealized losses (that the government may not have).

    So, he gets a loan with the collateral of said loan is his stock.

    He's going to have to pay off that loan some how. If he forfeits the stock, it's counted as sold and he owes taxes on that. If he pays off the loan with other money he likely has already paid taxes on that. So I'm not seeing the huge issue here.

    Only the free version has ads. You pay the $5 or $10 per month the ads go away. Also unlike radio where the songs are sent to you, you pick which songs to listen to. At least that's the audio ads. I dunno about the banner ads they also have. I don't even notice them as once I've picked the music I'm listening to, I put something else on the screen.

    The British East India Company basically ruled India starting in the 1750s. There's your "nation spanning" company right there. Though it most assuredly had a real world presence (and military) in it's area.

    IPv4 addresses were fairly easy to remember. just four blocks of up to three digits. But IPv6? 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334 is not a number I'd want to bother remembering for my gadgets.

    Hell even with IPv4 and fiddling with devices it got annoying remembering the numbers and setting up the ip address again. A router with DHCP server and name services installed made it laughably easy to just call my devices by their names be it manufacturer supplied or one supplied by the dubious grace of the owner.

    Answer me this then. What if I wanted to watch pictures of people of adequate age that are completely inadequately clothed for the climate? Or send out millions of email marketing messages? Both are speech...so why can't I?

    That said, I don't think this blockage was deliberate, looks like it was a technical hicup on the website's part where they changed servers and a re-whitelisting process for the firewall.

    So the question you might want to ask is if a filtering package is legit for a government to have on their networks. If so where do you draw the line?

    Hell. My bank has started to replace tellers with tubes inside as well as out.

    So now my bank has zero personal interaction at many branches and excludes change in the tubes, requiring you to use their change machine that takes a percentage.

    To put it simply, having your medical records fully accessible by everyone opens the door for discrimination.

    I wouldn't put it past some employers to fire or not hire someone based upon information in their medical records. Either over dubious legitimate concerns over long term heath problems increasing insurance premiums or completely irrelevant information like the STDs that someone has been treated for 20+ years ago when the person in question was a teenager.

    The problem is that AT&T define a 'smartphone' vs 'pda' devices by keypad type. Smartphones (as defined by AT&T) are a standard numberpad keypad while a PDA is defined as a QWERTY keypad. They have the obvious exceptions for Blackberry and (now) iPhones.

    Ah, but then again, why would microsoft be worried about an underfunded elementry school? The school dosen't use computers to make money, infact they use them to teach children.

    I've noticed many people commenting that the goal of McDonalds is to get you in, fat, and out as quickly as possible.
    But I've noticed that McDoanalds has started making sitdown restaurants. (seems like something else taken off Demolition Man)
    I think the WiFi idea in one of those woudln't be as bad where you probally won't have the manager glareing at you for sitting around for over 10 minutes.
    (just my $0.02)

    Prisoners Hope, Fisherman's Hope, Voices of Hope, Patriarch's Hope, and Children of Hope.

    Most of the books are good, some are not as good, like Voices of Hope, which is actually told by a diffrent perspective than Nick Sefort's. All in all, a decent series.

    I had a ATI Rage Pro with an old ISA ATI TV card, worked great in linux and FreeBSD, all I had to do was install the drivers for X from the gatos website (http://gatos.sf.net/), restart X, and run a TV program. Admitedly the quality of my setup wasn't great, HOWEVER, it did look as good as windows.

    As for PVR type functions, I'm not shure, there are tools out there, but I wasn't interested in that so I didn't look into it.
