Even worse is that when "that dirty fisherman" does cap Tony, the next C-level will put up higher walls and add security and then feel smug in dumping in the backyards of the "dirty proles", because they are stupid and violent.
These guys don't fear death. They've got plenty of security to handle us. What they fear is poverty and the resulting public humiliation.
We currently had a team leader move to another group. The company chose to hire two engineers and a manager in India instead of replacing the 50-yr old engineer.
Yeah, this trend is GREAT for America.
Not that it is wrong. Being sick doesn't make the medicine taste better.
If he had something to say that was new and relevant, you can bet that it would get heard by a lot of people. James_O'Keefe brought down ACORN with just a $50 spy-cam and some cheap costumes. Thomas Paine reached nearly the entire 13 colonies when he had something to say.
Just because you believe strongly in what you believe in, doesn't mean that you are slighted if it doesn't get out to every person.
MSNBC and Comedy Central are nothing compared to the partisan nature of Fox News
Which of those recently had to suspend a prime-time news anchor for making partisan donations?
not noticing exactly how vicious and uncompromising the Right is,
I think Juan Williams might disagree with you there. Besides, which side walks out if you use a term they don't like? (Hint: Joy or Whoopee)
Republicans have stated they will not compromise, they will not budge an inch, they will not tolerate one Democrat idea at all
Well, you severly overstate your case, but how can you blame them after being told that "they can't drive. We might let them ride in the back.", after having every admendment they proposed shut out?
Other people are allowed to infringe on your right to free speech as much as they like.
Please give me one instance where I can infringe on your right to say what you want where you are not using MY resources. ME choosing not to let you use MY printing press is an expression of MY freedom of speech. YOU have the right to buy your OWN press, not commandeer mine.
Jimmy Carter saying it on Larry King should be enough, but I'm sure you wave that one off. The NAACP wrote a report calling them racists, but I'm sure you'll find some reason not to count that one. Hell, just type "tea party called racist" in the Google search bar. I'm sure one of the 1,600,000 results will stick to the wall.
So, you're saying that it is much more difficult to be two-faced. Somehow, I don't see that as being a big issue.
The Dixie Chicks knew, or should have known, who their audience was. What their sensibilities are. It is what she is getting paid to do. How can you entertain them if you don't know what they like? Their audience included a large military contingent, and then they are going to mouth off crap about the military. Then they get upset that those people not longer find their music entertaining. Well? Whoop-de-doo. You have the freedom to say whatever you like, but not while I'm paying you to sing. (BTW, I always thought their music was crappy POP posing as country anyway.)
I walked out of a concert two months ago when the singer started going on about her political views. I didn't pay for a political rally, and if I did, I wouldn't pay for one with a know nothing singer as the leader. I'd pay for one headed up by a politician.
The guys with the megaphones are not physically blocking the abortionist. They are as free to spew on the street as you are. You can buy a bigger megaphone and counter the protesters with cheers to kill the babies. You both have the freedom to speak your mind in the streets. If the girl feels guilty about killing the baby and goes home, you lost. In that case, suck it up. It was her choice, which she made after hearing someones argument. And that is how the system is supposed to work.
Your freedom to yell does not limit my freedom to yell louder.
There are plenty of examples where someone speaking the truth on a budget has easily prevailed against an opponent that spent ridiculous sums to spew garbage.
You might want to also consider that we are killing people over there, too. It is something to do with being at WAR!! Propaganda is one of the better parts of war, because it reduces the number of bullets that you have to put through the enemy soldiers. There is enough time for open and free debate after the guns stop firing.
This is the problem with the tea-partiers and the government in general right now. Go ask HOW to reduce spending.
No. It is a problem with the population. The issue is that the electorate has discovered that they can use their vote to rob the public purse. The tea party is screaming that it has to stop, but they have to be very careful how they tell all the special interest groups to get their hands out of the candy jar.
An alternative is to stop putting candy in the jar. The entitlement special interest want be able to scream bloody murder when everyone can see that it is empty.
Tamper-resistant? You mean, they're trying to stop me from using it the way I choose. Like how the screwdriver manufacturers add elements to the steel to make it so that I can't sharpen the end and make a pin-punch from it? Jeeesh!! What arrogance.
I'd like you to consider an alternative analysis. Michele was just fuckin' with Chris. Consider, not matter what she proposed cutting, the crowd assembled at MSNBC would immediately proceed to rip her apart and explain how her approach would lead to puppies mauling babies to death while their grandparents died of hunger in the streets. Chris' question was a loaded gun for Michele to shoot herself with. Instead, Michele hands the gun back to him. She feeds him the party line with a shit-eatin' grin, and finishes with a reference to that tingle that keeps going up his leg. No accident, considering the quickly scrawled poster that kept floating behind her. Her response was a thinly veiled, "I recognize the power of your pulpit, and FUCK YOU!!" The message obviously came through loud and clear to Chris, as he struggled to keep his head from exploding.
Bachmann may not be the sharpest tool in the chest, but I thought her takedown of that self-appointed elitist was classic.
She says that one day she'll be making six figures - she's a paralegal so it's doubtful she'll get even close.
Have you not been paying attention to what the Fed is doing to the value of our dollar? I bet she'll be making six figures by the time spring rolls around, and seven figure by the time fall comes back.
Can you imagine how bad it would be if someone developed an exploit that was "stealing" images from inside people's houses?
When can we expect the schools systems to start passing these out?
All of them.
Even worse is that when "that dirty fisherman" does cap Tony, the next C-level will put up higher walls and add security and then feel smug in dumping in the backyards of the "dirty proles", because they are stupid and violent.

If your profiling is limited to looking for burkas or skin color, you have lost the war a long time ago.
From watching MTV, I think it would be even more useful in Jersey, New York, and anywhere in southern California.
and you all laughed about the telephone cleaners being sent to the new Earth. HA! HA! Who's laughing now?!

Same here. And my next thought was "Maybe there'll be a recall election...."
Unfortunately, I think Obama has been in office to long for that to happen. Nice thought, though.

So, you're saying that Obama electrified the Republicans so that they could see the pattern of economic gimmicks and union bailouts?
Plausible.
Not me! I prefer liquid cooling.
Move on, AC. It isn't 2008 anymore. Everyone woke up this time. People may be stupid and ignorant, but they don't stay that way.

Dude, "kick in the nuts" is SOOO 2009. You need to change it to "Shuttleworth kicks Gnome developers in the face".

Yes. And for some reason, I keep coming back to Slashdot anyway.
