Anyway, "We're at war". WTF? Is that the excuse they're going to use when they roll out the National Grid of cameras to watch the entire country 24/7. Well he's right, THEY certainly are at war. At War against our Freedom. I just love of all these things the post 9/11 government is rolling out to "protect" our freedoms. Of course somehow I doubt these cameras will ever be installed directly in front of any politicans house. NIMBY of course, but sure high traffic areas are fine. Especially if they are in or adjact to minority neighborhoods. At least that's how it starts. Afterall, what are they going to do about it?

This is the exactly the kind of crap that our forefathers were concerned about. An invasive Government that wants to keep tabs on its citizens through either spies on horseback or spies via camera is not one that I or they would want to be a part of.

On the topic at hand I really would rather the people not look totally real in the types of games I play, FPS. But for Adventure/Mystery games (do they make them anymore btw) etc it could be really cool. Of course real looking people with Brain Dead AI will ruin things. I think the graphic component will arrive well before the AI does. I mean if your playing a game and start acting stupid most AI characters just stare blankly into space not commenting. I want to see games where the Characters are like "Hey jackass, stop running around me in circles" etc.

This is just indicitive of the way the entire Phoenix/Firefox project has been handled from day one on issues that actual users are interested in. They devs simple are not interested in taking in and responding to feedback from users on issues that users really care about like aesthetics. Look at the bugzilla voting system for an example. No matter how many votes a bug gets the devs could care less. Yes at some point someone needs to step in and say "This is how its going to be", but jeez at least try to make it look like you value the opinion of the people who have been bug testing and promoting *zilla for years and years now.

I still use Firefox but I don't particpate anymore. I don't file bugs and I don't post in the forums. If the developers are going to continue to not pay attention to the users then they are losing IMHO their greatest strength outside the actual merit of the products themselves.
