FAT is far from an obsolete format. It's used on everything from XBOXen to mp3 players to medical test equipment. FAT is the most ubiquitous file system out there. Granted, NTFS is the standard on the destkop, but there are far more embedded devices out there than desktop computers and windows servers. Microsoft stands to make a fortune if everyone complies.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here; the fish is a donkey of sorts, is it not? Reduce a fish and a donkey to subatomic particles, and you'll find they're made of exactly the same electrons, protons, neutrons, and the odd photon or two. If one of these two arrangements of particles can haul tourists down the grand canyon, why isn't it conceptually possible that the other too?
Nah, New Scientist got it wrong. He said that the Internet 2 infrastructure is for scientific data... We all know Internet 2 is for phat pr0n, mad Warez, and Kazaa traffic!
I'll tell you what... If microsoft comes out with technology that can match me up with the next Duke Nukem, then I'll take back everything I've ever said about them:)
I remember back in the day there was quite a bit of talk about this... however, per MB cost of disk space has decreased dramatically since then. I wonder if MS will rekindle this?
For me anyway, I'd prefer the click-and-go ease of playing of my HD.
However, the FCC is selling the freed b/w to phone companies. Even when the technology allows us to use mere fractions of the currently allocated spectrums, you can be guaranteed that those free spectrums will be unavailable to the public.
Java, used as the main programming language for Web Services
elsewhere, is not used with.NET, because Microsoft was a very bad boy and
is forbidden by court order from implementing Java. To replace Java,
Microsoft has had to write a new Java-like language named C#
(pronounced "C Sharp").
This is hooey. The deal with.NET is that it uses a CLR, much like java, but the similarities end there..NET programs are interpreted into IL (intermediate language) which run on the CLR, but you can develop applications using any.NET supported language you want, such as VB, Managed C++, OR C#. The classes you write are interoperable with any of these.NET languages, so I can use a class written in C# in my Visual Basic application or my Managed C++ application and vice versa. Microsoft wasn't *forced* to develop a java-like language at all. Java on the otherhand is more or less a language and a runtime... one can't really function without the other.
Check out CodeTek Virtual desktop. It adds multiple desktop support like many Linux/Unix desktop managers, and it feels much faster switching between them than just command-tabbing through apps.
Several comittee members of the Warchalk Standards Organization met today to hammer out a new standard for Warchalking. They claim that the current warchalking symbols are too easily recognized by the media and authorities, and leave little room for future expansion.
May not be "locked down" tomorrow. Keeping the machines secure, whether or not they are a server or desktop, requires maintenance.
It is for this very reason I recommend SuSE on the desktop, as they offer free and easy updates via YaST, and SuSE boxen are extrememely easy to set up. The SuSE personal firewall is fairly nice and intuitive for the average user as well. Additionally, it comes bundled with Open Office and a slew of browsers and email apps.

Maybe this is the best time to go and do something like this
So it improves memory and reaction times...
Why can't it make drivers remember to use their freakin' turn signals?
Plus I like how the old GBA takes AA batteries. Much easier upkeep compared to prying the thing open and replacing the internal.

I know someone working on the chip. There's no way it could come out this year.
That's true, but since Nascars cost a couple million, and Kias cost a few thousand, I'm problably gonna stick to my Kia for a while.
Next Duke Nukem?
:)

How bout a compromise?
Fiber to the neighborhood... VDSL to the home?
Extreme Palace chat 3D. How is this revolutionary?
Yeah, you can always trust Amazon. They gave every David Hasselhof album 5 stars!
Oh yeah. Quite nasty! Imagine getting top ended, bottom-swiped... etc. Double parking could become quadruple parking (or even worse!) The horror!
I saw this kinda thing on Monster Garage. I wonder if this plane can mow lawns faster than Jesse James's wild ride.
Great. I'm going to get cracking on war-crop-circling. It's important to let our Martain neighbors know about potential free anonymous access points.

That is not correct, daikatana used the quake 2 engine. But it did get pushed back until the quake 2 engine was obsolete.

So, is the unedited fight between Goku and Freiza 6 seasons long?
This country is great! I emailed president@whitehouse.com and I get free pr0n in my inbox everyday!
I bet the Iraqis don't send porn to their citizens!
or you could check out systemimager
http://systemimager.org/
We've successfully cloned hundreds of linux boxes with it, and it supports reiserfs and ext3
the guys on the mailing list are extrememly helpful as well.
