No video game can teach you how to fire a rifle. Most military training is out in the field, computer simulators are still too expensive and still a poor substitute for the real thing.

Oh and I don't consider nascar (which is racing in circles unless you look at the road coarses) a sport. Its an event, but not a sport. Video games are not a sport. They are an event and professional gaming for money is a joke.

So basically if you were playing an online racing game with someone and you discovered you could take a right hand turn and cut through a hole in the course, driving through stands and buildings, without any penalty you would do it just because the game let you?

That is cheating. You are taking advantage of a glitch in the system. Same thing with fps. If you find a way to walk through a box or disappear into a wall or walk above the map, you are cheating. You may not want to admit it. And if that makes you feel so god like and good then so be it. But it takes more than high kill ratios to actually be good at a game.

I see scripting all the time on really good players, and they admit it. I got no problem when admitting someone is better than me. What do I care, its just a game. But at the same time I want to have fun in the game without worrying about cheaters. There are more of them than you people think. I've been playing for many years and you can spot those that cheat.

Its not only cheaters but also people that don't play fair but they don't consider themselves cheating. People who create such complex scripts that they can fire, switch weapons, jump and do other things all with one key press I also consider cheaters. The ability to script movements in these games is really ruining it on some servers.
