Not necessarily faster, but be able to get more work done. Most diesels (at least in the US) are used for pulling large or heavy loads. The more power, the more work you can get done...

But not all. Some people like for their vehicle to run properly. From what I have perused on the internets, a lot of diesel pickup owners will remove the DPF, EGR cooler and retune the truck to get better fuel economy and more power. The 6.4 Powerstroke diesel gets about 6 - 7 MPG before the emissions equipment is removed and close to 20 MPG AFTER it is removed. Plus the DPF regen process causes hell on turbos, piston rings (especially on #7 & 8 cylinders where the regen process is performed).

The court determined that Ms. Pao owed Kleiner $276,000 in court fees, and the firm offered to waive those if she did not appeal. But in her statement on Wednesday, Ms. Pao said that she was still ordered to pay those to resolve the lawsuit.

If these things are going to be legal records, they need to be secure, backed up, under a strict retention schedule, retrievable.

If they go all out on a closed source backup solution (Networker, Tivoli, Arcserve, etc), big costs will be incurred buying, licensing and maintaining the backup hardware / software. Ongoing costs for blank storage media whether tape or removable hard drives (depending on the backup scheme used), offsite storage costs if they want any DR capability, hiring someone or training someone on-staff to handle the restore / tape rotation requests, etc.
