was the animated strips something that worked before? otherwize, that is an addition to the site, and should be welcomed I think, even if it is flash.. but keep my strips working :-D

Well the site kinda works for me I guess, and I'm using some older version of ubuntu, but I don't know what you mean by "working".

What still sucks is the browsing the strips, why not just add previous/next/random in? Dilberts website sucked before too, don't forget that.

If you want something good, check out xkcd.com, the only thing I miss being better there is the archives.

Yeah, if you run it in the native resolution no scaling is needed to be performed, so running a ps3 on a 1080p screen is a non-issue, however, scaling up from old formats sucks big time. This is a rather big issue... makes playing guitar on ps2 on a new set practicly impossible since it delays the audio as well (it's aware of the lag).

The scary thing is that this might be the top of the iceberg, how much of the militarys material is stolen each year?

When I served in the army here in sweden it was more or less custamory to "lose" some stuff and keep it for yourself. Normally this was t-shirts or similar stuff but it was still pretty normal.

Then I lost stuff (which you do) you couldn't help to feel guilty about it as if you would have stolen it because it was that common, and I can safetly say that the only thing I "stole" was a few empty shells to keep as souvenirs from the whole experience.

This doesn't keep of auto dialers, but I generally tell them that they phoned a secret number and ask them to put me on their do not call list, and nowadays I recieve maybe one call a month at tops.

The posters (I'm not reffering to the one in the grandparent) that say this forget that alcohol, drug use & people that fell into sleep stands for most accidents and are harder to control than anything else. Speed checks are regurlar because this is the simplest way to "avoid" traffic accidents the politicals say, but I just think it clogs up traffic and creates more frustration, and frustration behind the wheel never is a good thing (it leads to dangerous overtaking for instance).

If you think the roads are too dangerous for you, take the bloody train and stop whining. Just my .2...

Apple releases multitouch and you go all "woah!". Touch screens have been around for ages but never hit. Mainly I think because they get clogged up with fingerprints and dirt, I know I wouldn't want one in my home. Maybe perfectly suitable for a car or similar where another input device might take too much focus away from what's important (not that I think computers in cars are a good idea to begin wtth) but for home uses, na, not for me pal.

There might be a good idea behind why we've used keyboard-mouse-screen for 40 years, maybe it's just one of these rare occations of a really solid design.

Speaking as a programmer myself, I know the step from linux code running on macintel or vice versa is not an extreme step to take. I release demos on all three major platforms and by using libraries that helps us with input/output (such as glfw and audiere, but there are plenty of others for each use) it's not a huge task to take on.

And this day of age your code (or 99% of it) shouldn't been done in assembly either, so no problem porting to other platforms really. And they don't utilize sound :)
