  1. yes open mindedness from Japan with the national on Japanese Anime Industry In Danger Of Fragmentation · · Score: 1

motto of the "the nail that sticks up highest gets hammered down first"

the reason why there even is anime/hentai at all is becuase the japanese are so insanely socially repressive that people needed an outlet

they are also allowed to go into public centers and be unruly but only during set hours.

in japan someone killing someone while you are drunk is rarely prosecuted, only a society pushed to the brink would allow that kind of ingrained escapism.

notice how the opposite is true in America, here everyone pretends to be happy all the time which is funny when it directly contradicts mass polling that clearly shows us as being one of the most miserable nations on earth, and with the higest work hours (the average american works 300 more hours a year than the average japanese, think about that)

there was a time where american individualism didn't mean fucking your brother over, ask the ww2 vets what they think of america now.

and yet it is the baby boomer culture dominated by greed and Mine that they created, their spoiled 2.5 children who grew up in perfect cookie cutter houses, who were taught that equality has to mean everyone acts/thinks/is the same way when in fact that is the exact opposite of everything america was/is supposed to stand for. our monoculture is japanese in its ruthless oppression of dissenting views from the norm, and they are enforced through our "justice" system which is nothing more htan people trying inflict their own "morality" on others. notice that what is right and wrong changes with teh times (it was socially acceptable to burn witches/homosexuals/blacks all at one time or another here) but the fact the gov't holds a gun to your head to tell you waht's right and wrong does not.

because there are TONS OF PIRATED GAMES OUT THERE AND ITS EASY TO PIRATE YOUR OWN (once you get some geek to mod it), in addition to that the hacked firmware and tools people have provided make one desireable. and contrary to popular belief there are even good titles out there, we're talking about M$ here they have some muscle a new gaming console market entree (ie phantom) doesn't have so they get good titles, go play Ninja Gaiden and dont take a shower for a week like me.

having said all that its too much work for me to fuck with, i play pc games, i'm just talking about friends i know and why they have them

M$ loses money on the consoles, if you pirate the games they lose out there too, what they're doing is getting a foothold with which to kill Sony/Nintendo first THEN extend their grasp to kill the PC market using these hybrid monsters as well
