Whenever a new product comes out the first thing I do is check if a domain has been registered... well... I got myself this doozie: http://playwithyourwii.com/
I'm sure there will be many jokes about this new name and the style of controller... It's good to be on the bandwagon.

For anybody who grew up with a Nintendo this is definitely worth a listen... Super Mario Brothers Theme by Boston Pops - John Williams.
I agree! In fact we have a policy in our office about this.
Any instance of drug and/or alcohol abuse during working hours must be agreed upon by all present* parties.
* If one person is not in the room, or has just stepped out briefly, this does not constitute not being present. That is, if this person is to return before the working day ends, they are considered present and should be included in any abusal activities.
We hardly do it during working hours. We usually partake in dingle (our code word for it) on fridays after a long week.
What is an affordable server side virus filter? There are several out there I am guessing, but I am unsure about the reliability vs. cost. We currently use SpamAssassin for our spam filtering needs and are very pleased with it.
What is a the de-facto standard for email virus filtering these days? (Something that a geek would be proud to have filtering their email)
I love how the rumour engine begins to start up just before MacWorld! This is one of the things that make MacWorld so fun. A MacWorld without these crazy rumours floating around just isn't the same. Hopefully we hear a few more doozies before the 7th!
Apple already charges for these applications (iMovie - $49.00). Although theses applications are still bundled if you have bought a new Macintosh, or bought Mac OS X.
I don't see this as an issue at all. There will not be an uproar since Apple is already doing this today.
I have seen the expression "Free-as-in-Beer" a few times on Slashdot, yet I have no idea what this means. I have scoured my head to think of what it could mean, but can't figure it out.
What does "Free-as-in-Beer" mean?
Free beer, to me, would seem to be the greatest thing in the history of the world!
Stories like this make me proud to have the Slashdot username I have.

I find that keeping icons to a minimum on my desktop makes my computer feel snappier, and I can prove it... with science!
Maybe it is just because you rebooted! ;)

It's days like this that make me think I have the best slashdot username, EVER!
Be careful, Lars is trying to get in!
I've been waiting for a post like this to rub everyones noses in that fact that I have the best Slashdot username... EVER!
Not to mention this looks like it could be the greatest movie... EVER!

I hope this movie stays true to the original books. Many hollywood movies are all "hollywood" and no entertainment.
Don't even joke about pepsi being better than Coke!
This goes to prove that JELL-O is the greatest, and tastiest sculpting tool of all time!
Except for LEGO, but you cant eat lego when you are done. I guess you could... but I wouldn't recommend it!
iMac's are cool! I am getting one this summer (or sooner).
