Between "Insensitivity" and "Sensitivity" towards Islam (or any other creed)? According to many Muslim clerics, any number of things count as "insensitive" toward their religion:
- allowing women to show their hair/face in public - allowing Israel to exist as a state - allowing non-believers to live
McGuiness is such a wanker. Once again, we see cries of foul play coming not from the artists, but from the parasites that depend on the artist for a living.
"From a purely pragmatic perspective, the "blue states" are a net negative on the treasury (they take in more federal money than they dole out in taxes). They're always trying to shove athiesm and moral relativism down our throat as well. Cut them loose and let them turn their population into a bunch of lazy whiners that can't get a job. We'll do just fine without them TYVM."
Center for Public Integrity is the last bastion of real investigative journalism left in the US. You think any of the big Media outlets wanna piss-off the FCC with a story like this?
Oh the humanity... deathmatching in Doom I was a hoot after a few rounds, and the bodies started piling up in the kill zones! Campers started having second thoughts too, when they got back to their spot and saw what a mess it was. Ah, good times...
No big surprise, too many citizens already treat civics like a big game. Partisan politics helps turn every election or vote into a contest of "them vs. us", instead of what it really should be: what's best for everyone.
It's just one more indication of how broken our political system is, and how too many people treat it as a spectator sport, rooting for their "team" to win at any cost, instead of participating to achieve a common goal.
Since Hollywood won't give me what I want, and will sue any business into the ground that tries to, I am left with only one alternative: Download movies and edit them myself.
Insightful, perhaps. But also blissfully ignorant of reality.
People need money to live. Advertisers will pay you to pimp their stuff. Smart advertisers will actually listen to people complaining about all the crass and crappy ads, and get wise, and be more subtle, more humourous, and less invasive. I'm betting most people will be willing to tolerate well-executed ads in games, if it means spending less (or no) money up front. Or even better, if it means a shot at some sort of shiny prize for them.

If there was any one person singled out to blame for the Columbia disaster, it was Linda Ham:

(for all you mods who thought that was insightful)
The environment created by ambient sounds and especially the radio chatter was excellent!
I loved the story line.
I would have liked to have saved some of the other survivors I found...

Can't we all just get along?

... I've got to work on leveling up my Titan Quest character, and hit the next LAN party!
I picked up Titan Quest because my son wanted a "Diablo-like" RPG, and we as parents wanted to keep him off line and in a T-rated game.
It's very much a Diablo wannabe, but if that's what you're looking for, without a monthly subscription, I suggest checking it out.
