You got what the box says it contains. Why should you have the right to complain? If you've heard there are boxes out there with beter specs, you also know that the others don't have the extra's.
The same happens with CPU overclocking. If you get a specimen that cannot be overclocked enough, do you go complaining? Still, another CPU of the same type might be perfectly qualified for higher speeds, but dumped in the lower frequency "bucket" because of shortage.
You could go complaining if you got the upgraded model and it turns out it consumes more electricity. If that would be the case, however, I'm sure you could easily find people who are willing to go and trade it in *for* you.
It has been a very long time since I last checked out the MS search-engine, so I gave it a try. First I went to google and typed 'microsoft search'. OK, the first result was right. I followed the link and typed 'google search'. Also a correct result, with even some ads sponsored by google. The layout of msn search is a complete and utter ripoff of google, so it's very functional. Then the hard test: searching for linux on both sites. To my surprise they produced similar results, no pages explaining why Linux is an evil insecure communist hippie-OS without any support, only links like linux.org and redhat.com.
What is friggin' wrong with them? Where are the evil tactics? I know they can do it, because that's what I got the last time! The MS engine is just as functional as the Google one! There is something very fishy going on there.. You're not going to tell me MS went nice all a sudden. Did they get some legal threats and remembered the DR-DOS debacle?
Not in the sense it doesn't exist any more. It still is kept alive by the USA an Russia, who keep the virus alive for biological warfare, either defensive or offensive depending on weither they're winning or losing the war (yeah, it's mostly in their heads, but war is sick from the beginning anyway).
it's not "28 MPG", it's "up to 28 MPG". I guess that they first flew up a mile, and then measured fuel consumption while falling down.
PS: 28 miles per gallon = 11.9040238 kilometers per liter, still much more than a car. It might be ok for a flying machine but I wouldn't trust the figures neither.
Indeed, if you practice it every day (weather permitting), you'll get into shape quite fast. I'm doing it for two years now, and while at first I got 20km/h on average on a 12km trip, now I'm at 26km/h! Also I lost quite some weight, so now I'm without overweight (probably for the first time in my life).
Now I also make larger trips sometimes, around 70-100km, just pick a direction and go. There are times when I would have dropped dead. As a bonus I've discovered dozens of breathtaking landscapes near my home that I never knew existed.
I wonder how big the effect of these high gas prices will be on public health in general. Less pollution? People getting more excercise? Will it show up on charts?
"New research report suggests that those who make up false claims in scientific reports are also likely to cheat at schools/universities and to shoplift. From the Globe and Mail: 'Not only does sponsored science harm real scientists, but it also points to an erosion of respect for intellectual property that threatens Canada's economy and values at the core of our society."
I heard news of ESA asking a a few million Euros for a study concerning kliper/clipper/whatever the spelling of the day is, but it was multiple weeks ago IIRC. I checked the article, but I found nothing new.. So why they publish it now is a mystery to me, there must be some reason though, maybe there was a press conference?
But would you choose an education solely based on the expected income? To me the university was about gaining knowledge I always wanted to know, the exams were really a trivial side-issue (because it weren't really things I had to learn by hard, it were just missing pieces of the puzzle). If you work that hard, is it in a field you find interesting, or did you only look at the money?
Hmm.. only 4, Funny. You deserve a +5, even if it's at my expence:)
Funny how the article mentions the same words, "because it insulted his intelligence so terribly". I now know 3 instances of people using the *exact* same wordings independantly. Maybe there's some thruth in it?
Not only that, upload quota are usually pretty low (I have 2GB up, 15GB down a month), so this will easily use up all my available upload space. This is nice for sharing, but I'm not sharing, I'm buying!
I just don't think it works, if you show no interest in your job it's pretty hard to be good at it, and if you're not good at your job it will be hard to get wealthy. I don't think I would feel at ease with a lawyer defending me who's only thinking of the money.
I believe it's better to choose a job that fits you, even if it gets paid less on average. A good cook can make more than a lousy lawyer. And then I'm not even talking about job satisfaction and burn-outs.
Justice defending the weakest? That's outrageous! Where is this civilisation going?!?

Well, I once knew a girl who wanted to become a lawyer so she could "buy a Porsche". We had something going, but when I heared that, it was an instant no-go. I might be a geek desperate for sex, but I'm not that desperate. She quit school a year later. It's not money that matters, it's passion.
Just throw out your TV and do something better with your time. And believe me, everything is better than watching those horrible reality shows, sitcoms with predictable jokes, news that makes you feel there are terrorists living in your basement, and soaps that seem to be designed to to make you stupid.
Really, TV is an insult to your intelligence. I'm boycotting them since 2004.
It will depend on the production process. The advantage of micro-scale equipment is that you don't need lots of material. For example, with micro-chips, the fabs cost mucho money, but the chips they spew out are dirt cheap. So it is advantagous to make as much of them as you can, making it available to the masses.
How about the right to go where you want without your position being tracked and stored for later use?

They've a Google-killer search engine

No, they are for self-promotion. He seems to have understood that quite well, since you're still quoting him. ;)
What's a bible?

Or it could be total baloney? For some reason I don't think they are very interested in real research..

1. This news is older than the hills.

So your biggest problem is that it has 2-4 CD's chockful of applications? I don't get it..

fruitless retaliation.

No, it's mine. I checked. Unless you have the same root password as me.

You can't trust wikipedia! Trust the mass media!
If you really want to, you can probably 0wn a satellite.
BUT
If the feds really want to, they can probably track you down and give you a wedgie.
