The upload bandwidth would be more interesting to know. Do they use satellite upload, or do they use the cellphone lines for upload and the satellite for download? The latter would be simpler, because I think you'd need a license to upload to a satellite. Does anyone know how this is done with satellite phones e.g.?
However, the station is also moving at high speeds around the earth. If it moves in the same direction as the debris, they can move side by side without harm (or at least you don't get collisions in the km/s range).
Maybe it wasn't at the beginning, but I have an impression google is using quite complicated algorithms.. With the web always growing and changing there are some quite interesting problems where complexity problems simply rule out simple algorithms IMHO..
Remember when google was first launched? It was great because other engines simply didn't find the page you were looking for any more.. With google, "I feel lucky" even worked quite well (if you're a good gambler;)). Now that google is integrated in all our lives, i think we are no longer aware of its achievement..
He should normalize the graphs. I mean, on one graph linux is in purple and solaris in blue, on the next it is reversed. This is very confusing and unnessecary.
They still can't figure out if 'OK' should be at the left or at the right of 'Cancel'. Although they both improve at open-source-speed (= 1.36 x ludacrous speed*).
But then again, if we both think we're using the best environment, and they are not the same, then that must mean we're just a bit different...
I have worked with a commercial version of Qt, and I can recommend buying a license to every professional. The thing is, their support is divine. I don't see any competition from any GPL alternative.
I think this is an opportunity to be the first virus writer to be loved by everyone with an e-mail address. A worm that eats those trojans for breakfast could reduce spam dramatically within hours. Not that I want to encourage people to do something illegal, but if you're writing itanyways, instead of deleting files this could actually be more fun.. Good luck;)

The fact is that everything that can be copied is being copied. I think it's in our genes - even quite literally. They copy themselves all the time without EULA's.
Indeed, this is too lame for words. I wish they could just take their pieces of code back, or inform the developers, or whatever, but I don't want to deal with those guys. Get the heck out of the free software garden, SCO, you don't belong there. Maybe they're spending their last money on cocaine or something else that could drive them this insane?
But what do you need jails for then anyway? Those people are punished for the rest of their lives..

You don't need the hardware information if you already know the owner's account name..
Would it be possible to convert this data for use with kstars? the "star" magnitude could be "number of links" or according to uptime or whatever.

Vienna is a capital! I didn't know that!
So the site (never heard of it) is closed because of growth problems. Is that all the news?

This article is only truly accessable to the readers who are already familiar with C
Erm, what's the point of diving into gcc if you're not familiar with C? That's like an illiterate trying to read a book about bookmaking.
