And if you want to exit the elevator, you intuitively drag the picture of the elevator to the trash can!
Or just hit command-Q. You can also use command-W, but this causes the elevator car to wait around holding a triangle until you come back, clogging up traffic.
Interestingly enough, they cost less than normal consultants
The problem with the D&D franchise MMOified

DDO Goes Solo

DDO's interpretation of 3.5 simply didn't work well in real time. Temple of Elemental Evil exemplifies what D&D is good at - tactical turn-based combat. DDO's "flip on auto-attack and try to keep the spastic kobald in range" style of melee, on the other hand, was the worst I've ever been exposed to in an MMO. On top of that, there was hardly anything to do in the quests. After the 17th "BREAK BOXES! BREAK CRATES! PREVENT THIS CRATE FROM BEING BROKEN!" quest I wanted to kill myself instead of the kobalds.

That one is even harder to solo. In my first campaign I kept antagonizing the party against my wishes, so I had my char fall into a ditch and die from ditch poisoning. The power really went to my head.
Based on the number of sequels and remakes that get shat unto the market on a monthly basis, I don't see how there is much of a difference between the two.
Advice? Fall back on the ancient wisdom of the finance guys and put cross-checks in place so you can at least detect the errors.
That isn't anywhere near enough to comply with SOX. I had my prod DB write access taken away, so, any time I need to run a DML for some random bit of data that needs changing, I need to open a ticket, spam both the DBA group and my boss, and have him run the dml. The DBAs then audit it later.
There goes my evil genius "transfer the rounded off parts of transactions into my account" plan.
Graphics cards innovations for the past several months/year with SLI seem to be me mostly "i have a dual SLI system!", "yeah? well i have a QUAD SLI system!" - soo much performance that is unused it's pointless.
Then spend $600 on that and stop telling me what to spend my money on. I have an ath 4400+ w/ 2 gigs of RAM, a Raptor RAID-0, an X1900 crossfire, and a 24" 1920x1200 monitor. Why do I have such a rig? Because it is worth it to me with how much time I spend sitting in front of the damned thing, and you can't power such a large display at normal FPS and visual quality levels without resorting to multiple GPUs (the X1900 does a heroic job in a single card config, though).
Really, in terms of performance you are always fighting a losing battle. You may be running this generation of games just fine, but when the next one comes out your ass starts getting kicked. Do I enjoy throwing money into this hole? No, but I spend way too much time playing games anyhow so I might as well do it pimp style off into the sunset.
The shops that are likely to not want Z rated titles are big name electronics stores like Yamada Denki, an equivalent of Best Buy which wouldn't have carried porn anyway.
No, emphatically. I've been been a gamer since forever, and the only thing media coverage of games does is make me feel guilty by association. 85% of the print media is unreadable, and video coverage is exponentially worse. Every gaming program I've seen on the TV just oozed the SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM RAR OMG 2 D MAXX BOOBIES angle until I wanted to shoot myself in the head. YOU HEAR ME G4? FUCK YOU.
How in god's name was this article accepted? HE PLUGGED A FAN INTO A POWER LEAD! WOW!
Alert the media.
Lies
I may not have an MBA, but I think #2 there should be "sell games"

I don't think he'd be sliding under much of anything without a time dimension

I'm really sick of all these Jack Thompson stories all the time
I had moderated this redundant, but then I felt bad. There needs to be a +1, Redundant (but only after adding +1, Flamebait).

Sorry, double dumbass on me. I read "board" as "board-synonymous-with-card-board" instead of "circuit board". My mistake.
They could probably put two GPUs on the same board though.
I'd tell you to RTFA, but, considering you didn't even get so far as to read the fucking summary, I know it would be in vain

I'm glad to see that the former Iraqi information minister has found work.

You've never been to Fry's, I take it...
Some shops have even declared they don't want to have Z rated titles on their shelves
Yeah, god forbid such degenerate games share shelf space with the T rated tentacle rape and SQ (status quo) rated bukake.
Kaiser Soze?
Hmm. How insightful. Tell me more sir.
No, the correct phrase is "I am intrigued by your ideas, sir, and would like to subscribe to your newsletter."

No wonder you got the first post
I was going to reply to my own post that any Tolkien reference on /. nets an automatic +5, but then you had to go and fuck that up
Besides, I think Sony has other irons in the fire.
One DRM to rule them all
One platform to find them
One format to bring them all
and in the darkness, bind them
Then there's the Satan deal...
