    Yes, it is your trash but the notion of property and the rights
    and obligations you have towards it are being redefined.

    There may very well arise the constellation where you "own" the
    trash and have to pay to get rid of it, but you are at the same
    time barred from making use of it.

    Here's btw an example of how this already works today. Suppose
    you buy real estate that is zoned residential and apply for a
    building permit. But surprise, you don't get permission to build
    on the property instead you get notice from EPA that your property
    falls under diverse nature conservancy regulations and you are
    under penalty forbidden from building on that property or making any
    other use of it. You try to sell the property but can't find any
    buyers because the property is completely useless. On top of that you
    to add insult to injury you are charged property tax on it.

    Or it can be even simpler than that. You buy the property, they want
    to build a shopping mall on it. They get to take it away from you and
    if you resist throw you in jail.

    When property can be taken away at whim or certain uses of that property denied
    then we're not talking property rights here anyway, but rather property
    privileges.

    I want one right away. However I see a problem looming here for
    for the private sector garbage and recycling industry. I don't
    know where you live but over here it costs plenty to have your
    garbage can emptied and they wont let you put into the can what
    you want either - plastic, cardboard and paper each go into a
    different color-coded bag and are collected according to schedule.

    These Agenda21-inspired schemes would suffer tremendously if people
    reduced their trash by a 30-1 volume reduction _and_ even got
    power of it.

    I suppose these devices will not be legal for civilian use where
    they conflict with trash and recycling industry.

    Jesus btw didn't drop by on his way to a blowjob to deliver the argument that Vaccines
    may spread the diseases they supposedly prevent.

    With certain weakened pathogen vaccinations there is a huge risk of infecting third parties
    sometimes even a week after innoculation.

    A 4,000 projected deaths at an age median of 50 do not merit putting the
    health of millions of young girls in any way at risk, especially
    in childhood. With reports of highly adverse reaction to the Merck "Gardasil"
    HPV cocktail out there, I don't think you would personally roll up your sleeve

    and these are the immediate results minutes after injection. Who knows what the long-term
    consequences will be?

    No I am sorry but you're not seeing the full
    picture here. Modern healthcare takes money out
    of one pocket and puts it in the other. Check
    into who owns what and you will find "healthcare"
    humming happily along while irradiating,
    operating and medicating.

    You're obviously confusing apples with oranges here trying to appear smart.
    HPV is _both_ transmitted by sexual intercourse as well as thought to be a
    virus that may be the cause of cancer at a latter date.

    As far as your herd immunity is concerned, that is theory. Another theory
    to which I adhere is that vaccinations carry the diseases they supposedly
    prevent into the population.

    There are about 10,000 cases of Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV) infection
    each year (pharma's numbers though) and they're non-lethal and out of
    those 10,000 only a very low percentage will have cervical cancer
    before they turn 50.

    Contrast that to common teen/young adult fatalities like driving,
    substance abuse or teen suicide to name a few - which are usually
    unplanned - with hundreds of thousands of _deaths_ each year
    you've got admit you're scaremongering here.
    The only thing to really worry about during unplanned teen recreation
    after homework is teen pregnancy.

    Nice idea with the rape angle you had there, but a real Spinmeister
    knows when he's overdoing it.

    You will find that people are willing to take on and test DCA
    anytime over the known extreme damage done with radiation and
    chemo. I don't think those stricken with cancer right now
    are willing to forego DCA in this life in the hope the FDA
    approves it as a cure in the next, many will demand and
    procure the drug.

    Many infected with AIDS prefer the virus than the
    slow death inflicted by what is at best a palliative
    drug but you're certainly right here.

    I personally however doubt they would take the same
    approach on DCA and give someone a monopoly on DCA,
    as DCA saves lives. That however is not their concern.

    Here's another one... take "TeenScreen" for an example,
    the Bush backed at school mental illness screening programs
    they've set up. Kids are asked to fill out a questionaire
    developed by pharma usually without parental knowledge or
    consent and if they check the "wrong" answers they're
    prescribed medication.

    It has already gone through clinical trials as a widely used
    medication to counter lactic acidosis. People will certainly use

    So you say. Let's take a hard look at pharma then, shall we?
    Here are a couple of things at the top of my head regarding
    Pharma:

    1. Merck and GlaxoSmithKline are right now lobbying for laws to
    _FORCE_ innoculation of girls in school from 6-11 mandatory with
    their vaccine against a sexually transmitted disease virus.

    2. Bayer and others _KNOWINGLY_(!) sold batches of their
    hemophiliac "KOATE" that was laced with AIDS to populations in
    South America and Asia. People got sick.

    3. Pharma has supplied tetanus vaccination _deliberately_ laced
    with hCG pregnancy hormones (which are insanely expensive)
    in order to prime the immune system against a hormone released
    at the start of the pregnancy - making it impossible for the

    All three high profile cases show the callous disregard for the
    health and well-being of people and a single-minded focus on profit -
    whatever the human cost.

    The only real news I can find in here is not to try something
    what they did yourself, those two million dollars are two million
    dollars you most likely do not have. So looking at it this way
    I suppose that is a rather high price to pay for a couple of
    led-lighted pictures placed around town. I will even go as far as
    the city loved the excuse to be able to respond with a totally
    overblown and over the top

    "goodwill" fund. As far as "Goodwill" is concerned, I'm sure that
    money will buy tasers and not soup.

    Most [rich] people will probably just take DCA and not give a flying
    fuck what the FDA has to say about it. If I ever get cancer I know
    I will be taking DCA even if it is then made illegal to treat yourself

    Yes. You are right on the money, there are no profits to be made
    on DCA, in fact it even harms industry profits. Think of all the
    chemotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy that doesn't get done
    because of it.

    A cancer patient usually brings in more or less a cool $100,000 in
    profit, a breast cancer patient slightly less, a prostate cancer
    slightly more.

    Just for those of you who think I've now totally gone over board,
    "Free Speech Zones" exist. They are one of the new ways of dealing
    with crazed thought criminals who band together to hurl abuse at
    the state. On the more sober note they are fenced off areas usually
    far away from the event people want to protest where they can shout
    and chant what they want.

    It only then follows that we have Free Software Zones on our computers
    sandboxed environments that wont really have a whole lot of access to
    hardware such as the sound card or will have its video output willfully
    and on purpose degraded. Vista already does this today.

    On top of that Microsoft ever since XP was released Microsoft has embarked
    on a drive for a "trusted computing platform" starting with the project
    they initially codenamed "Palladium".

    A corporation bent on taking away control over your computer through DRM
    and "trusted computing", hell bent on shutting out 3rd party competition,
    forcing your computer to phone home ... is that a threat to internet freedom?

    It is the day you need an approved software stack to connect to the net.
    Microsoft is planning for that day.

    Yes. This one is excruciatingly dumb and a no-brainer because there is nothing
    right now to stop people from "walking" with their mouse all over the globe
    and checking those super-secret installations out before they blur them.

    In fact, I've been "personally" to Diego Island, the top-secret US-base smack in
    the Indian Ocean. If you want to "stake out the joint" get the exact coordinates
    from Wikipedia's article on DG. I've also been to Socorro Island of the coast of
    Mexico, an island on which the Mexican Navy operates a base. They were out on the
    docks drinking Tequila and smoking weed. At least that's what I think they were
    doing because you can't really see through the sombreros. Again you can get the
    coordinates from Wikipedia.

    Nothing to see and hear here exact more of the same old mantra: Terrorstorm!

    Slashdot already covered Dichloroacetate an easily synthesizable
    compound and FDA authorized drug that "restarts" the deactivated mitochondria in cancer cells which in turn "recognize" the cell as malfunctioning and trigger the cell destruction mechanism.

    The only major drawback of DCA is of course that it is priced way too low for the occasion (people desperate for their lives) and is probably even easier to make than aspirin. Oh and it isn't patentable.

    I was recently having a discussion about global warming with my diving coach and while he agrees
    that it exists and is a major problem, he denies that we have/had anything to do with it. According
    to him, the earth is heating up because the sun is heating up. I tried showing him scientific proof
    that greenhouse gas levels and global warming levels match almost perfectly, but he continued to deny it.

    Does anyone have any data representing the sun's temperature trend vs. the earth's?
