k, this would be my last post on slashdot. How anyone can consider my previous post as a troll is waaay beyond me. It has 'Interesting' written all over it imo.
Have a digital Christopher Reeve play superman. You can use motion capture so that the models movement won't look so artificial. The detail of the modell won't be a problem, just look at Smith in Matrix revolutions when he gets punched in the face by Neo.
This is pretty much what I say about KDE, to me, It's UNUSABLE. Sure it may look nice and pretty but that's it. Personally, I don't know why people would want to use KDE, Gnome just seems more leaner and more clean.
Sure, I may not understand KDE but I do admit that KDE has its own niche...somewhere.
I think people don't say 'ARM sucks' because you can't really customize your cell phone/pda with this or that cpu, how much ram/hdd you want or what gfx card you want.
If you could actually build a DIY phone as most builds their computer THEN we probably would complain about the monopoly.
Does it really matter what his motives are ? He (as do I) wants to learn something that most people consideres very hard. You have to commend him for that.
Seems as the reds are winning, I hope not though...On the other side both parties are reflections of each other so it make little to no diffirent which of them actually wins. Some Democracy/republic huh?
gnump3d is awesome for these kinds of applications. I use it myself streaming ogg files from my router/firewall/mail-server/ftp-server etc. etc. machine.
Funny thing is that every cpu that has ever been produced has a serial that programs can read. The serials are only unique in the fab. that they are produced in though, meaning two cpu:s from two diffirent fabs. can have the same serial. These serials are used to track down bad areas on the waffers and other things in the manufacturing process.
Great, now you're forced to own two domain names to be able to host your own email server, one.mail for *gasp* your mail and one.*** for everything else. Why not create.ftp,.ssh and so on when you're at it.

OO.org does have a database client but it's hidden away because of the difficulity of configuring it.
