Oh, and here I thought you were going to comment on the fact that the majority of actual desirable content on Prime Video is not available to Prime subscribers unless they're willing to pay more money.
But I gotta say - the biggest impact video review* has is adding further delay to an already-slow game.
On the topic at hand... I'm all for it. The hardware is already in place at all major league - and many AAA - stadiums. And it's been known for a long time that umps' strike zones don't reflect the official strike zone - with left handed batters, for instance, the vast majority of balls 1-4 inches outside the strike zone on the "away" side still get called strikes.
Sure, they "review" the ump's performances against the true strike zone... but apparently actually penalizing the umps for getting it consistently wrong was only a short term thing, lasting a couple years after Sandy Alderson started the program. That first couple of years, strike calls were shown to improve... but now we're sorta back to the "every ump has his own strike zone" days.
*I refuse to call a 3-minute process "instant replay"
I took over most of our grocery shopping a few years ago when my wife started having health problems. I’ve found that I actually enjoy it - I find it relaxing, a lot like going for a walk except in a store. It’s a good time to decompress and let my mind chill.
I usually go fairly late in the evening, when the store isn’t busy with shoppers - although I do have to occasionally dodge the restocking crew! If I have to go in the middle of the day, it’s not quite as fun.
I wonder if they're starting from scratch, or working from the Wine code base. I'd hope the latter, and I'd hope they'd talk with groups like Codeweavers who've been doing this for a while.
So part of the question is - does it make financial sense to spend a significant number of man-hours trying to uncover those non-obvious instances of welfare fraud?
I find it absurd that Match pretty much owns all online dating now. I realize that it can be hard to say no to a lot of money, but if you created something cool and want to stay in control of it, why sell?
I didn't realize this, but - apparently Match's parent IAC has owned Tinder since day one.
I always get two perfect halves when I do the following - it's easy.
1) bind the spaghetti together into a tight bundle, using a couple rubber bands. Be sure both rubber bands are fairly close to the center of the bundle. 2) Run the bundle through a band saw.
I honestly think trial version support along with some way to demark newer major versions of an app along with upgrade pricing for major updates would fix all this.
I've always liked this approach. If the end user doesn't see the need to pay for an upgrade, they are still left with a functioning program, while people willing to pay the upgrade fee receive all the new bells and whistles.
On a related note, I'm happily using Adobe CS6 at home. People who want the latest and greatest additions are welcome to subscribe to Adobe CC. I actually have CC at work... and frankly, I don't see anything it does which would entice me to purchase a subscription for home use.
If this had been a SpaceX launch, that fact would likely be front-and-center to this submission - NASA would probably be a footnote at best. Shouldn’t we give the same love to ULA?
They understandably weren’t concerned about aesthetics when they positioned that camera... yes there are fish in the shot, but it’s unlikely anyone will want to watch it for more than a few seconds.
If you want something more aesthetically pleasing (and relaxing), I recommend the Monterrey Bay Jellyfish Cam: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=...
So this oil is apparently engineered so heating doesn’t produce as many trans fatty acids.
Of course, the alternative is to use oils like safflower and sunflower, which are already neutral in flavor/smell and don’t require the same amount of pre-processing...

More or less, anyway. But I don't understand how they found time for this, what with all the domestic spying they were doing...

Bank robberies fall under the purview of the FBI.
Betteridge only applies when it lines up with a person’s preconceived biases.

Or, perhaps, three of them...
I am protected.

My MacBook Pro has a Gateway sticker and is painted like a Holstein cow.
How will I know when I've waited long enough?
When your breathing finally stops.
that's the whole point behind pretty much all “smart” devices. Planned obsolescence.

Great! Now we're just waiting on a decent text editor...

At last we know who to blame regarding the elephants in Africa!
The Swedes were able to bomb their fire because it was on a bombing range.
Then just declare the entire existing fire area a bombing range - problem solved!

Trans fats are formed as part of the deodorization process. It sounds like the heating involved is the main culprit.

Meanwhile, Europe has already decided that "gene edited" is a subset of GMO, thus effectively banning those foods from the European market.
That does make it harder to simply blame anti-science Americans for the whole thing...
How fast can they change a SSD or a memory module down there?
If any part fails, the TOS states that you need to install a new data center.
“Deodorized” is not a naturally occurring process.
