Well, from other people's posts, I've gathered that, in some parts of the movie, R2 is actually a CGI script. This script was most likely written in Perl. Perl runs on Linux.
Hey, I was a Silverhawk for Halloween once. I always liked ThunderCats better, though. My mom thought it might be a bit harder to make a ThunderCats costume.
Did I read correctly? I think it said that it had an optical hard drive and magnetic memory. Isn't that a huge step backwards? If my hard drive was as slow as my CD-ROM, and my RAM was as slow as my hard drive, I wouldn't be reading slashdot right now.
It certainly sounds more Star Warsy than the Scooby Doo-like "The Phantom Menace". Until this is confirmed, though, I'll continue calling it "The Menace Strikes Back".
I used a TI-82 in Algebra 2, and found it to be more than what I needed. For use later on, though, I'd recommend an 85 or 86 (86 is what I have now for AP Calculus). If you have more money to spend, you might consider an 89 or 92, but keep in mind that neither of these are allowed on the ACT.

Doesn't plastic come from oil? Doesn't oil come from dead organisms? Aren't organisms organic?

I'd love to see a movie written in Perl.
Wasn't that an AC/DC song from around 1980?
This doesn't sound too hard.
The GI-Joe Movie had the coolest theme song I've ever heard. "Cobraaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Cobraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Is it just me, or does this sound like the name of an old Bon Scott-era AC/DC song?

Maybe not, but what about Zelda, Mario, and POKE-MON?

the J-J-J-Julius guy! I wonder what happened to him...

Say, you're not the J-J-J-Julius guy, are you?
Wow. You must be some kind of l33t h4x0r w4r3z d00d. I wish my 5k1llz were was 31337 as yours.
The sad thing is that I could read slashdot with no trouble at all.
TI-89 isn't allowed on the ACT, though. I almost found out the hard way. Good thing I bought an 86 instead.
TI already has translucent cases for their calculators. You can buy them for $4 each (or $16 for the set of 5, IIRC) from TI's web site.

Dude, you should sue the RIAA!
John Carmack didn't write RA. No one from Id did.
It looked like they were going to make a movie with real actors, but then they ran out of money and had to make a cartoon.
Is that show still on?
Perhaps he thought "CGI...Perl...News for Nerds"
No, it was Al Gore, an American (and probably the next president).
Is this what the infamous "nudity code" does?
