The only game I like on the 360 right now is Condemed.
Knowing what I know now I doubt I would ever buy a 360. Atleast not until the bugs are worked out. (and trust me there are a fucking TON of them), and there are better more interesting games.

That's not to say better games won't come out later. I'm sure they will. But on a regular TV the GFX aren't really all that much better (they are, but not to the point that I'm gonna shit my pants over it. Compared to say RE4 they aren't that much better). If all the 360 has to offer for all that fucking money and all that fucking horse power is HD? Count me out. Sure it's sweet, but $400 + $60/games + Wi-Fi(not included for your $400?!?!?!) ++++++ It's just not fucking worth it.

I agree but I do think the top screen is a little too heavy it makes it uncomfy to hold after an hour or less of playing. Especially games like Mario Kart where you need to keep your 2 index fingers on the L and R triggers. It's hard to support the system that way for long periods of time. I end up putting my pinky fingers on the bottom to hold it steady and I constantly have to re-adjust the volume because my pinky keeps hitting it. It's quite annoying. That's really my only gripe about the DS. It could stand to lose a little weight especially up top.
Can ANYBODY name a single console that won the console wars for 1 generation based on the fact that it had better technical specs? I can't think of a single one. I have no idea why people think that will be the case this generation. I don't understand why Nintendo having lower specs means it will be in last place when that has never been the case before. People said Nintendo would lose because of the lack of online gameplay also which was a complete load of shit I mean seriously if you think about it the PS2 is the slowest and weakest of all 3 systems yet it's by far #1 and Microsoft Live is the best online of all 3 yet that system isn't even close to #1 it's more like a close tie for #2 with Nintendo if not just ever so slightly ahead (world wide).
Think of all the systems that were suppose to be the fastest and best but were never on the top (and most didn't do well at all)
Dreamcast, 3D0, Neo Geo, Saturn, Jaguar, N64, XBox.. That probably isn't even half of them. Shoot wasn't the old Atari in the early 80's faster than the NES and Sega master system? And lets not forget hand helds:-P

We have a fan dedicated to our power supply AND 360 with it elevated on something that lets it breath on the bottom also and the thing still fucking hangs in half of our games with in 15 mins of playing them. PGR and Gun which was rented from gamefly.. horrible service gamefly is btw are the only games that work. PDZ, Tony hawk and Kameo are all broke as fuck even after having the disks cleaned/fixed which we paid for. We haven't contacted msoft about this yet though. I'm sure we aren't the only ones. They say only 3% or so of the 360's are broken? I don't fucking buy that at all. 3% has reported a broken system perhaps but I bet that number is closer to 25% because this thing really is a heap of shit. You can't even bump the thing the littlest bit with out scratching your disk so bad you can't play the game anymore and guess what? Microsoft won't replace the game. It's seriously fucked up.

For about $60 you can get a cube ($60 for a refurb at gamestop you might be able to find used systems for even cheaper) there is almost no reason NOT to get one right now. You can buy a GC now and a Revolution in a year and it would be cheaper than buying even the low end model of 360 right now. You could probably trade the cube in for a Revolution game in a year (if you can it would almost pay for its self) or give it away to a kid in your fam. or something.
Plus you can find TONS of great games used for the GC for pretty cheap. (Metroid or Resident Evil 4 alone make the system worth buying).
Besides it's not like next year is 6 months away. The game will be out in a few months. That isn't too long to wait (for me atleast). We'll have Metroid on the DS to hold us over until then.
I read somewhere(maybe on slash? I forget) that they might be making the game a Revolution enhanced GameCube game (Meaning it'll be a GameCube game that can take advantage of the new Revolution controller or other features if it's played on that console).
Even if NONE of the games came out made much use of the touch screen I STILL think it isn't a gimmick. If nothing else I like the touch screen for the fact that it makes getting around in the games menus much easier and quicker.
Also there is a lot more to the system than just the touch screen. Mario Kart DS and Castlevania DS are both GREAT games that make very little use for the touch screen, but both make great use of the dual screens.
That's what I like about the DS. The fact that there are so many neat wasy to take advantage of what it can do. Games don't NEED to use 100% of the DS's features to be fun.
Try playing Meteos. That game just isn't the same with out the touch screen. Also try out any FPS game where the touch screen acts as a mouse.
I agree. I purchased Double Dash and then never played it because of it's crapy tracks in battle mode. I'm sure you can unlock better ones but what ever.

The block fort level is AWESOME. They did a perfect job on it. It's fun battling bots on that level also. It's hard for me to find people to play with so I was happy about having bots altho I wish you had more control over them (you always have to have 7 bots you can't change that and when you change the skill level it changes it for all of them you can't decide which ones you want to be high or low skill level.. which kinda sucks)
Also you have to blow up your balloons by blowing into the mic or holding the select button and you can't do it while you're driving so that kinda sucks also.. The bots can do it almost instantly so you end up getting hit while just sitting there trying to blow up your balloons (until you get good at it) this probably won't be so bad against other humans because everybody has to put up with it so it's fair.

My roommate won one in the MT Dew thing and we got it Saturday around 11:00. It came with a free copy of Kameo. We purchased PGR and we are waiting for NFS to show up (comes with the system also).
On a regular TV with out HD I can honestly say I'm not impressed. At all. I don't care for the games we have all that much. I spent my weekend playing Mario Kart DS and watching others play the 360 but it wasn't interesting enough to make me want to play. To me it just looks like more of the same except slightly better. Exactly what I was expecting.
I did see madden running on a nice wide screen tv in HD at Bestbuy this weekend though and it did look quite nice, but it was still just madden.
Maybe when more games come out it'll be worth buying but right now if you don't own an HDTV it's not going to be so much better than you XBox that you should spend $600 buying the 360 of Ebay... Seriously wait for more games.
Don't forget Football, Basketball and Baseball. Those go back over 100 years also. Even as Video games they go back 20++ years yet Madden is still one of the best selling video games.

The only thing that hasn't changed on the 360 compared to the Xbox is the fact that it has a built in network card and has Xbox Live and you're telling me that the 360 isn't about graphics/speed it's about online play? I wouldn't say the PSP is a piece of shit. It's a sweet handheld with only a few decent games (most of which I can play better versions of on the PS2, but that's besides the point)..
Although I will say one thing. Our PSP has never left the house. It might get scratched haha.. Also I own about 15 games for my DS and just about every single one of them has logged more hours then every game on our PSP combined.

You can turn the map off by changing it to display your stats instead with just the push of a button. That solves your exploration problem.

The game is seriously fun. It's one of my favorite Castlevania games so far. I just wish it was a little longer.
It might not take advantage of all the DS's features but who the fuck cares? The game is fun. That's all that matters.

If you like Lumines get Meteos for the DS it's a much faster and much more fun game.
I like Lumines and I play it on my roommates PSP but to be honest it's no where near as fun as Meteos.

Our 360 is not on the carpet and is in a well ventelated area and it STILL freezes up constantly in PGR3 and Tony Hawk.
