Yes, it is OK to go ahead and blindly hate a group if you want to. It's your hate, do with it what you will. No one has the right to tell you that you can't hate. Hate is a human emotion. Acting on that hate however is another thing. Speaking your mind about that hate is OK, burning down a church isn't.
My post wasn't modded up, now I really understand you have no idea what you're talking about.
People are pissed off at religion because religion has been at the center of the worlds oppression and violence for thousands of years and continues to be to this very day. If you don't like it, too fucking bad.
I wouldn't touch VIA and SIS with a ten foot pole for my own systems, even less for servers. Plenty of bad experiences.
While in the past VIA and SIS have been really bad chipsets, modern VIA chipsets (KT266A and up) are rock stable and perform well. I have had both KT333 and KT600 boards which have never failed. SIS, while I have no first hand experience, I am told is similar.
Why would anyone spend the time to interview Mitnick and then ruin it by making it audio only and then talk like you're mighty mouse on speed so no one can understand a thing you're saying?
Note to applefritter: take the drugs away from DBub.
Never send your original receipt in for a rebate. If your item breaks you'll never be able to get warranty service for it as you can't prove when you bought it.
Because I was working that day (as you may have guessed, I work phone tech support), and we *did* have network outtages and higher than normal call volume and people were *angry* because of hold times. And this were all from people in New York.
1) NEVER blame "unusual call volume" for hold times. God, that makes me sick. It's a sneaky way of saying "It's not our fault you're on hold." Yeah, it is.
Ever tried making sure hundreds of support agents are in the right place at the right time to answer the right amount of calls? It's not easy. Especially if there are multiple centers and/or there is something happening (virus, network outtage, 9/11, etc) that's causing increased volumes. Tech support is a loss leader for companies, they don't want to pay any more for it than they have to because it costs a *TON* of money. Quite frankly it may even cost more than losing a few customers for a lot of companies.
2) When the caller has finished their business, NEVER ask "Is there anything else I can help you with blah blah blah?". "No." "Okay then, thank you for calling Ultrablather Systems Software Systems Incorporated." STFU and say goodbye like any normal polite person and let me get off the goddamn phone.
People usually remember the first and last things about a call and not the middle. Most people *like* it when the agent seems to genuinely want to help. You're not going to get rid of this one anytime soon, management wants the companies name said at the end of the call so people will remember it.
As for the rest of your suggestions, I only have an issue with #6, I hate dixieland music...
Pens however do run out of ink, get lost, blow up and cause stains or just quit working. Also, you keep a pen and paper pad around with you at all times? Does your paper pad also sync to your computer? Does it play music? Does your blank paper pad also have the capability to take down dictation notes or display books to read? Can you view web pages on your paper pad? Right...
That's why you keep the data on the computer and sync it to the PDA, why trod around a computer all the time? Can't fit a laptop in your pocket.
My Palm Tungsten T3 has been invaluable to me. Quick note taking, music playing, the odd game here or there, ebooks, internet through bluetooth, etc. All on one device I can fit in my pocket and has 0 startup time.
Why people think laptops are a replacement for this is way beyond me. You want to take a quick note, ok, so you're going to grab your huge laptop, wait for it to boot up, open an application and type it?
Last I heard you couldn't put an EULA on a peice of hardware. A firewall with a backdoor is not meeting the requirements of FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Of course IANAL.
Well, I stumbled upon allofmp3.com, make sure to click "english" up at the top if you're not a native russian speaker! They offer 100MB of MP3's for $1, easily the best price on the web so far and ontop of that you can get them encoded pretty much whatever bitrate you want in whatever format you want!
They seem to be licensed through their russian multimedia and internet society, legality outside of russia is suspect but I doubt that as an end consumer you'd be liable for anything in most western countries.
Ski mountains actually.
Again, it didn't get modded up, man, you really haven't been around very long have you?

Nice buddy, compare the size of your post to mine then ask yourself: Which one is hyperbole?
But, wouldn't it?
Right, as if Intel has never had any problems.
Shouldn't it be:
All your bank account are belong to us!
You are on the path to bankruptcy.
You have no chance to withdraw make your time.

Now the worlds largest weapons manufacturer runs Linux!
Why buy an FFXI Clock when you can use the Virtual Vana'diel Timer?
Did the moderator who marked me as Troll, would you please LISTEN to the first part of the interview? You'll notice I'm not trolling.

No, uploading it does, as the EULA states that YOU can't distribute it, doesn't mean they can't.
You mean a star which is 5 mechs, a point is one mech.
This makes no sense, FFXI has been out since before Sims and Ragnarok online. Ohh well...
Where is Final Fantasy XI?

They compiled 3.7.1 to require SSE2 (Pentium 4) only CPUs.
