Mod the parent up. I think one of the values of a good keyboard is that the keys 'cave in' to the movement of your finger _but_ do no require you to forcefully reach the end. That therefore reduces the force on your fingertips. I don't know about you but my I got a pair of sensitive fingers.
When I type (ya know, this rattling sound of 200 chars/minute) my fingers move towards the keyboard and my fingers have to be stopped. Maybe I would like a touchkeyboard with foam in in:-)
I'll drop the cluebomb again:
-it is not about processors/instructionsets
-it is not about MHzs
it is about e.g. compilers, parallellism, shortest path , bandwidth, technology and algorithmz. You _then_ work on the rest.
Processors are only a means to what you want to accomplish. I've seen DSP's take a 4x MHz gap just because it had a good architecture. Deep down information processing (clocked or not) takes time to go through the logic.
Essentually I think you are more right then you might realize. Think about it, security is a as good as the physical access level. When someone has physical access to your keyboard it can get bugged since your keyboard is a trusted machine (always take your keyboard with you!!!).

I'm sitting in front of the TV seeing a huge walking lobster, and it ain't good.
Yeah, read the fine print then before you spend $$!
maybe OT:
I recently had an offer from my bank to do internetbanking. I read the fine print and I found out that they didn't support Mozilla (not even for Windows). I wrote them back:
I'm sorry but I'm not in the possession of a Windows computer nor am I able to use one. I therefore regret that I can't use [internetservice].
Unfortunately (because of security and financial reasons) I cannot upgrade to Windows OS now or in the future.
I would like to see support for my browser and operating system (Mozilla/Linux). They support SSL as mentioned on your website so it should be possible. Actually I don't see the problem of not supporting Mozilla by ABN-Amro in the first place.
Internetbanking certainly is something that I want to work with. If ABN-Amro would not support this and another bank would this would be a reason for me to join the other bank after a while. I really hope that I can stay a client because I joined this bank because it was client-friendly. I hope I won't have to change my mind, s. yours....
I think this is a way of handling things concrete but resolute. Maybe the guy shouldn't have bought the computer and email them why.
With OpenBSD ISO's do not make sense. The distro is just too small. The second reason is that installing with FTP is a really viable option under OpenBSD. I tried it with Debian but that didn't work. I had OpenBSD installed within 20 minutes. NO SWEAT! OpenBSD is a non-voodoo distro. It is extremely clean and has very good installation documentation (many programs can learn from that).
So you have two options:
-for the bandwidth inclined: get the CD. Downloading an iso is wasting a few 100 megs.
-for the bandwith-elite: do the ftp (20 min) because it is faster than downing an iso (20 min), burn it (5 min) and then install it (negative time here??).
You, my dear Sir, are clueless on the field of Information & cryptography. I won't even begin to start where you are wrong. Lets translate this in 'carlanguage':
"Not only do you have to have a spare tire for each seat & what-not, but closed cars are bigger, so that adds to traffic as well".
yes, the fact that you are clueless... if you want support (I'm looking at dualhead, dualrefreshrates, dual resolutions under 4.03 so there are drivers) go to www.matrox.com or especially:
http://www.matrox.com/mga/media_center/press_rel /2 001/linux_powerdesk.cfm
install a few files and run this powerdesk for linux and your xfree works like a charm. (ps, you have to cut and paste this link, you can't click).
When you are actually typing you are right. The "piano" way of typing is the best way of typing. When using the mouse I always lay my wrist on the mousepad. My fingers move the mouse around. This helps relax my shoulders.
BUT, when you are not typing it is good to relax your hands onto one of those pads. They are warm, so they don't stiffen your wrists and they make sure that your wrists are not bended too much.
I relax a lot, because when you are able to type more then 300 chars/min then your hands are faster then your brain. I think that 10 finger typing helps too in the use/relax cycle.
PS: I had a severe wrist problem (permanently unfit for army duty), I used to play piano and I learned typing on _mechanical_ typewriters. I think I therefore know (by experience) what to/not to do.
truth at it's finest. There are fuw people who actually are able to set themselves aside for the sake of the argument.
you mean you got access to it?
I've seen this too... you don't work at a minor DSP devellopment company do you?
What I heard is that 7 gigs of sourcecode is all it could handle. Guess with all the docs in it too (ppt) that was reached after a couple of years.
Well if you looked at the technical page *cough*not*cough* you would find a price of:
Price: $289
Available: August 2001
If you would like to have a FingerBoard you can, with no obligation on your part, reserve an order slot.
I've seen too much of those 'oh so comphy' natural keyboard die. Much too early... Usually a keyboard should _outlive_ the computer.
Wat I would also like is a choice in material. I think plastic is a little uncomphy when you are sweating. I think I would really like wood.
dude, you can customize emacs to your keyboard (I never look at my keyboard if you meant that). With vi you'd be right.

I knew there was a reason the called this version of the software Windows XPloit.
That you must be a Linux kernel hacker!
It's alice, right? Tell me it is alice.

Use Gkrellm, it shows you:
-harddiskusage
-ethernet activity
-processor usage
-(virtual) memory usage
-and more...
I prefer my computer quiet, and my programs showing me what is happening.

To clarify: official CD's are for contributors and bandwidth inclined. Downloading ISO's is for dummies.

You see, that doesn't make sense
Maybe the next generation games have trusted clients supplied with 'm (such as USB dongles w/ microcontrollers or so).
sorry for the 'hot' persuit. Thought you had problems running g450 at all / were thinking about bying one.
But, asking detailed questions makes giving insightful answers easier. Lets leave it at that...

Sorry, but I know you are incorrect. IANAME but there are sea-skimming missiles doing mach 5. I guess then that there are also SAMs doing that.

scientifically, proving that something doesn't exist is nearly impossible. Especially when you work with statistics (and not boolean logic).
