I think you are wrong. The horsepower costs battery life and THAT is what the consumer wants more of when using a cellphone.
The second reason is that JVM's are not that universal now either in normal computers. Has anyone seen browsers, real games (not tic-tac-toe or equal) or compilers in Java? I don't think that cellphone manufacturers are going to leap ahead of their desktop predecessors. More effective use of things as MIMD, multiple cores etc etc.
I think Java is bloated, just like C++. What we need is better compilers so we can more effectively use the available processing power.
Toms Hardware has the only (as far as my knowledge goes) CPU cooler review with objective noise data. Unfortunately the (there mentioned) 'Silverado' isn't available in The Netherlands:-(
Judo did it for me. I suddenly had the strength in my back to stand up straight with ease. I guess it strengthens muscles in general (legs, arms, back, chest).
Ah, everyone has DSL these days. That RFC is out of date:-)

You've never programmed assembler have you?? Writing the ascii characters in hex is not easy in the beginning:-)
Which of these platforms do you know:
-i386
-68000
-PIC12C5XX
-R4000
-BOPS 2040
I found out that "Hello world" (or the hex variant 0xc001dea1 or 0xc001babe) is quite a valuable program. If that works you know your buses are working and the core is running.
I'm still young so I still have a lot of architectures in front of me...
It is so obvious that you are a complete newbie... I'm really surprised that a moderator felt your post was underrated. I don't even find it remotely funny and I have a broad sense of humor.
I think there is more than black and white... There are people who are slightly tempted to do small things. Implicit jobsecurity, rebelling against management 'cause it's in your blood, seeing how smart you can be (testing the tester:-) and so forth... Yellow excists...
Please. Intel at least add instructions between...
If you add instructions you should do this for one reason only: to use 'm. This is the biggest problem right now. Compiler builders have a hard time optimizing your code and keeping up to date with the latest instructions.
These days compilers are the word, not uP's. You can make the nicest microproc but without a good compiler you are nowhere... Everyone can think of a few more instructions that are 'handy'.

why isn't is possible (or so hard) to report bugs??? I couldn't even find if the bug I found was known or not... I truly hate the bugzilla system, it is too clumsy.
you better be fast then: the whole thing is in the state of collapse and has been for a few years. Several parts of it are (as far as I know) shut off for the public because of alumiNIUM rot.
'cos you don't have to speak to the other person. Communication yes, but not too much. It is like writing notes to each other in class. SMSing can be handy when you can't talk.
I have to respond. Computerland doesn't say that "true" equals "1". Very often you are right, but not always. Second: a "1" in a computer can be optimized to 0 Volt, locally that is.
I think I have the right to say that the Hamlett quote is reduced to "0". Which is true off course...
I disagree here. Slashdot pages take around 12 to 15 seconds and I think that is too long. When I surf the web I want the idea that things are local. 50kB/s won't give you that. I agree that you can live with it:-)
Well, I don't have a cablemodem but I have the same u/d-load speeds. In a while we are going to get 3 MByte (yes, I know that is awesome) per second... Guaranteed:-)
What I really hate is/. rates. It seems limited to about 30kB/s. Those 500k pages take ages... But any local iso download takes about 20 minutes.

Looking at this (Dutch version) I predict that ST(tm) will provide more information chaos then previously.
I think that with this technique it will be even harder to direct all information flows in an orderly fashion. I think it is bad...
It really depends on the level that it is implemented. Is it done at socketlevel or is it done at application level ?!?
It can be implemented in a BAD way!
wish I had mod points...

I think this is the first design I've seen that adequately takes care of the mouse issue. I would first like to try it though.
Any more betatesters needed for this design??
Well, they would first have to get my ass to court in the "oh so free"-USA. Since I don't live there I don't have to do things like disclaimers.
Are there any higher user numbers???

He, my HP48 still uses Kermit! I really loved my old modem program when I linked it to my HP. I think it was called ProComm Gold or something.
