I have faith in America for that exact reason. Reagan was an idiot who was going to start a nuclear WW3. W was going to impose a theocracy. Trump's not even inaugurated yet. Let's calm down, be vigilant, and see what happens.
True, but thanks to Prop 65, businesses are required to have a sign disclosing that products may cause cancer. Since it's turned into a cottage industry for lawyers (kinda like the ADA), literally everything now causes cancer.
Build nukes. In California. Riiight. Add to the fact that building anything in that benighted state requires ten years of "environmental impact" studies and bribing of the California Coastal Commission...
I think that goes a long way toward explaining last night's upset. Conservatives see the war being waged against them; speaking ideas that go against SJW dogma is met with scorn and ostracism, when it's not met with a pink slip (cf Eich, Brendan). Rather than voice their opinions, they go dark and wait for election day. Result: The political correctness thought police not only created the upset but also prevented the Left from knowing it was even there. Heckuva job, snowflakes.
I have a 13 Accord that has never failed to sync with my S3 or S5. Once or twice it's mysteriously reset the text-reading preferences with hilarious/absurd results: "Do you want to sync this phone?" Yes. "You have new messages. Would you like to check them?" Yes. "Blocked. Please park the car before reading messages." You mean like the three I've just read? Thanks, Honda.
I don't do upgrades largely for two reasons: the "upgrade" costs too much in terms of finite phone space or the app has decided it needs to know every single thing that is on my phone.
I don't do service "upgrades" just because Verizon decides it's time for the newest Android flavor to come down the pike. I learned that lesson with the S3; it invariably comes with a performance hit.
I rarely do app "upgrades" because they always seem to want to know all about my contacts, photos, locations, sleeping patterns, gun ownership, etc. Although I do slhttps://developers.slashdot.org/story/16/09/16/1919203/half-of-us-smartphone-users-download-zero-apps-per-month#eep well knowing that some millennial snowflake at Google freaks out hearing the hammer of my 1911 lock back just before I go to sleep.

Doesn't anyone remember ATTACK WAAAATCH!"
11 is *always* a reasonable volume.
Bill Amend was prescient.

I thought that was a Betamax joke
Actually some access may be worse than nothing, if they limit, control, or deny access to sites that the de facto censors don't like.
I'm surprised the Theater Owners haven't sued Brussels for copyright infringement.
LOL thanks! Thought it fit in a Nixon thread, glad that someone got it! :D
Sure, you can have your manual car. We'll just make it illegal to drive it anywhere.
Government officials excluding manual cars from freeways.
We get that crappy design is causing the hiss. Thank you. Now please focus your efforts on more "hiss" puns.
It's Apple's new spyware, codenamed AlgerHiss.

That's gotta be a metaphor for something...
I knew Apple wasn't friendly to the kundalini!
Yep, just like my Apple //c that's been in the closet for 30 years!
Aliens just need to have a headphone jack to thwart Apple.

Skynet is reaching sentience.
Just save it to the cloud! That way, when the internet goes down, you can still run your sites through your smartphone!
No, man. He's the ginger that voted for Pedro.
At least the controller has a headphone jack!
