    Note the way in which "better outcome" is just oh-so-casually identified with a factor other than something material to the business like "profit". I guess the "chief diversity & inclusion officer" just measures & affects what she can. It falls to someone else to bridge the logical chasm between those and useful business metrics.

    People might not notice when someone is message-fictioning to them a little bit. But if it's overt and purposeful, it will repel those whose politics are not in line with the creator. "But it's only fiction" is not an all-powerful defence - if anything it's cynical.

    If you construe taxes as payment for services, please identify the specific US services that were used by the foreign operations of these companies that you wish them to pay for.

    Saving money is not "hoarding". Keeping it from the "taxman" is not only financially proper but morally ethical. Y'all fawning over the possible tax bill are just weaponizing your envy for the fruits of someone else's labour.

    An autopilot that gives up control without the driver/pilot having situational awareness is worse in emergencies than no autopilot. They breed complacency in the driver/pilot, who cannot flip into effective engagement instantly.

    So crunching some numbers. Hard math ahead, watch out: So one spends 2 decades in school. Works for 5 decades. Is on pension for 5 more decades. So one's productive for less than half of one's whole life, and during that time one must support oneself and another unproductive person (young or old).
