get a last gen ipod and use rockbox, i previously used cowon players but i broke it and the ipod represented better value for money and i was using rockbox on the cowon so it was an easy move!
When the user writes all his passwords down on a post it note this shows you that either IT or Management have implemented a passowrd policy that is over complex and or changed to frequently. And if it is Management then IT are to blame for not adiqualty advising them that such a policy would make the system less secure though post it note activity.
As is the ogg/flac support on my iPod (albeit though the rockbox firmware and if your player is as I suspect an iaudio player then go put rockbox on it! my last player before the ipod was a iaudio and when i put on rockbox I only wished i had earlier. unfortunatly i squashed the iaudio and the ipod was a better price/gb than the iaudios and suported rockbox to so there was no contest)
> 3. Most people are willing to exchange some speed for security. Staying in OS X means you know that your computer will always work; no worrying about viruses and the like.
And like most exchanges of speed for security it is utter bullshit.
Yes osx is still safe, however windows wheather native under bootcampo of virtualised under parallels is still as suseptable to virus's either way.
The amiga version being the first is what usually made an amiga game, occasionally being a significantly better version also made a game and "amiga game", etc...
Hey I actually remeber that game, it was kinda good! Spent a fair few nights playing it on my old A500!
I think they should also have stated devpac was one of the most influential games. The amiga was responsible for getting many people into programming, for me that's when programming really made sence.
It's really sad the ammount of people that think converting one lossy format to another is something reasonable to do.
I wish it were just windows users but I see people thinking it's sane on the mac as well, hey mac people were known to burn the drm'd aac to disk and re-rip to remove he drm.
Personally I'll only buy music off the ne when it comes in lossless format. And then I can convert/compress for my player and still get a decent sound.
The number of people who find 128 kbps mp3 resonable still kind of scares me.
I think a pop up dialog should happen to inform the user they are doing something stupid every time they try to do a lossy -> lossy conversion!
>I have been using it now on a laptop for more than 18 months. Granted I am an employee of a very large corporation, but that is indeed the point.
A large corperation eh? Obviously one that does not care about getting work done if they allow a pre-production OS on a laptop. Mayge you just use the laptop for show and it doesn't need to run. Hey over half of the laptops where I work are still running NT 4 and they work just fine.
Hmm, Why Scapegoat? I hope that is a rhetorical question.
In case it not...
It's because people want a solution to a problem that doesn't involve them acceping responsibility for their own actions, or that does not require much effort on their part.

> You forget that it's ALREADY compressed in h.264. I'd say there would be a significant loss of quality going from 40GB of h.264 to ~9GB of h.264.
Likewise you forget that people just want the main feature not the additional crap. Which is probably around 9gb anyway when they use h.264.
> In my workplace, we'd LIKE Vista
Please tell me where you work so I can avoid it.
Cheers.

Don't pass the blame. Deal with the problem.

Where are these sort of purists?
Todays generation did not grow up with the old games so did not play them.
As someone who grew up with the older games I welcome the newer games because as an adult I can not afford to play games non stop for X hours.
Nintendo seems to know where things need to be if you ask me.
Then you were either never apple's target or you are deluding yourself.
Either way, get over it.
It's DRM free, not lossless, why pay more for higher qualiy if you are going to re-encode it?
> and only 1 RAM slot that's already been filled
since you correcte4d about the onboard video be aware that should be "2 Ram slots that are already filled"!!
Is is just me or does anyone else hope there is also a server for us adults?

>I was in London a while back, and the cameras in the underground stations did make me feel safer.
Which is what they are there to do and why they are a problem.
They make you FEEL safer.
They do not make you safer.
Being exclusive is not really the point.
The amiga version being the first is what usually made an amiga game, occasionally being a significantly better version also made a game and "amiga game", etc...
Exclusiveness is nothing to do with it.

> Aren't most Mac users waiting for leopard to come out
What, waiting for Leopard before browsing the web again? I you are goin to make an argument at least make one that makes sence.
Maybe like which web sites are the stats generated from, maybe those are somewhat windows biased?

I'd trust one that ran linux.

Well der,
Care to point out anything else obvious?
All "religions" are pretty much just as bad though, they just have more history and think they can get away with it.
> two cubic feet just of Amiga software from 1985
you must keep dull stuff, the interesting amiga software came much later than the year it was released. The early 90s were more the amiga years.
-1 BAD MATH.
Really, this needs to be a valid moderation.
> I have yet to see my MythTV infrastructure sleep, go to the bathroom, etc.
You still have to watch the content you have recorded, and you still have a limited ammount of time to do that.
Sorry to break it to you but you are never going to watch tv 24/7 even with added help, it just aint possible.
You are obviously playing the wrong games.
Try moving the mouse slowly to the right, then quickly to the left. And repeat.
This game is playable on all OS's with pointing device support.
Have fun.!]#
of course it does, other companies try to get the best for the end customer.
ms just bends over and lets the corperations have whatever they ask for even if its stupid.

Buty I hope you knew this already.
