True. But the comparision to cell phones is unfair since that includes every cellphone from every brand and model. I wonder if there's any other individual hardware product that has sold a larger number of units. I think the PS2 has over 110 million sold, but I'm not sure if any other brand has sold as many copies.
Not really. I've played pretty much every FPS multiplayer - Doom2, Quake, Q3, Q3, UT, UT 200x, HL, HL2 and a bunch of mods.
Halo2 pretty much redefined the experience for me since now I could play the game slouched on my couch, 10 feet away from my big-screen tv.
Interesting story that sounds familiar. What you're missing, however, is that to all the upper management folks, marketing etc. it's the guy who built the joystick part that actually built the product. You might have done most of the work, but he got most of the visibility.
How do you know when your peers are available for a meeting? Do you rely on 10 different mail replies to know that?..
I could go on and on, but you're a troll and I don't have time to waste on you.
I just picked this book up from my local library a couple of days back and found it absolutely essential for my job as a Project/Program Manager. It covers the basics which I should arguably have known before I started this job and has tons of tips and tricks which I feel would make my day-to-day productivity higher.
Sigh: I wish it has a chapter on how to stay away from slashdot:-)
This is Microsoft's scrapped Hailstorm initiative all over again. Except that it's Google doing it. It's interesting to note that two of Haistorm's key architects (Mark Lucovsky & Adam Bosworth) now work at Google. I suppose they think the same idea would work if a different company did this.

You forgot the best part about getting prints at Costco. http://www.costcophotocenter.com/
You upload your photos and within 1-4 hours, they will have the prints ready at your local Costco!! So, the next time you're leaving from home to do a groceries run, you can just upload your latest pix and pick them up by the time you're done with shopping.
Sweeet!
Blockbuster wouldn't want this, but NetFlix (or Blockbuster Online, for that matter) would want this. THis way, they need to pay only for mailing the DVD out to the subscriber, not for the subscriber to mail it back to them.

Ok - call me naive but what does IMAP with Gmail give you that POP doesn't?
Isn't it amazing that slashdot can dupe even an incorrect article???
