Amen! I fought for weeks with poor range and even spent $200 on some commercial antennas only to realize that it was all the fault of the crapola Linksys PCM card.
I replaced it with an Avaya (Lucent,Orinoco,Etc) and I now have incredible range without the massive antennas.
AFAIK, this has been the case for quite some time, but let's be real here... They're not checking for VPNs. And as long as you're not abusing this fact by telcommuting full time over a VPN, they will most likely never find out nor will they give a darn. The acceptable use stuff is just there to cover their butts.
Ahh, but he wouldn't need to wear a loincloth. This is Conan the King remember? He could dress like, well, a barbarian king! You know, leather hauberk, the works!
I just got this in response to my request for more information last night:
Within the next few weeks, Cox@Home will be changing to Cox High Speed Internet. This change will implement Cox to becoming the new Internet Service Provider (ISP) and will no longer use content from Excite. The new look will include new additions and content to the service, but mainly the conversion will convert us to becoming a true ISP. There will be notices sent to all current Cox@Home customers about the conversion, which will take place within the next few weeks. For additional information, please call us at <local support #>. Thank you for your question and for choosing Cox.
No, it does not give away most fot he plot. If anything, the "Mystery" trailer released last week gives away more of the plot. This one, from a plot perspective, focuses on the romance, which we all know is happenning anyway.
I have been very carefull not to read spoilers online. I have watched all the trailers and I can safely say that I don't feel spoiled.

I see what you're saying, but perhaps if you were to offer the domain to someone who would champion the project from it's inception instead of requiring a successful port first...
In my personal opinion. The best order to read them is...
1) The Hobbit
2) The Lord of the Rings (trilogy) (including appendices)
3) The Silmarillion
This order reflects the order of reading difficulty and therefore makes you more likely to enjoy reading the series. If you were to start with the Silmarillion, you'd get bored awfully quick.
Granted, your info is neat enough to warrant mention but like I said, it's not a suitable replacement for one of these new-fangled Internet Applicances. At least not for the market to which they are supposedly targeted.
Is is just me or are geeks in general overly ridiculous about security?
A lot of information can be gleaned from the timing of the keystrokes and some (relatively simple) packet decoding.
C'mon, raise your hand if your terminal sessions are the target of a spy agency...
I mean really, who cares about your little geeky passwords to your linux boxes enough to go through all this? Not to mention the physical limitations...
I remember when it came out. I was so stoked. I went to see it on opening day and although I enjoyed it, I don't think it was better than T1 by any means other than the special effects budget. Way too touchy feely for me.
The Pixel Shader technology discussed here is in fact a part of DirectX8 (Direct3D) The issue isn't which API (in the general sense) but rather which version of a subset of an API.
Not being a 3D programmer, I don't know whether the claim of vast differences in code are true. Can anyone shed light on this?

T3? C'mon, T2 wasn't all that good. What we really need is...
Conan The King!
Justin
I already have. ;-)
It was one of the selling points for me...
Thanks,
Justin

If you're a SW fan at all you already know Anakin turns eventually and that Ep II was supposed to show the start of that process.
Sorry if it spoiled anything for you, I guess this must be pretty subjective.

I wouldn't even know it existed if not for it showing up for me in metamod. And no, "the Internet" is not blocked in my preferences.
Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed today eh Dick?
I'm sure to take you seriously after that comment! Shea! Right!

Am I the only one who is bothered in a major way when JPEG images are compressed to ridiculous levels and then posted to a website?
Check out the pic of Colin Beaumont in the first article.
Fro crying out loud people! Use some retraint with the compression slider!

...a Mac Classic from your local University surplus auction, put Open Transport and NSCA Telnet on it, and you can get your e-mail...
Uhm, how is this in any way close to filling the need the eVilla was supposed to fill?
"No Grandma, it doesn't work with Hotmail, but you can use Pine instead! Isn't that just the coolest?!?!"
"Shut up boy! I wish I had a real Grandson!"
hehe

Nope, Quake 2 did not support Glide, rather it supported the 3dfx mini-gl library (OpenGL subset)
Quite the contrary, Quake 2 (much like quake 1) in conjuction with the 3dfx mini-gl did much to boost OpenGL support in games.

Why must you say something so harsh? These sound like the words reserved for an enemy.
Do you believe that Jesus is the son of God? If not, why would you hold such contempt for what you believe to be just a man?
In light of your horrible comment, you might want to check this link before the day is out.
