It's going beyond stupidity. What about all sportsBOOK sites that existed years before facebook? Do facebook lawyers assume they'll have to change their domain names?
When I owned a n900, it seemed like the first step to a great Nokia future, replacing Symbian with Maemo.
Having a n900 was a weird experience: the lack of apps created one of the best communities for an Open Source project. I really enjoyed talk.maemo.org forum. People helping each other, speeding up the OS, patching, etc.
And then what? Nokia moved to Windows? Really? WHY? Maemo was excellent. Yes, we all knew it was unfinished, but it definitely had a future.
The only good thing about this Nokia situation is that Economy Schools in the Universities can analyze the case as an example of what NOT to do with a company.
I've never understood why eBooks prices are too high, sometimes almost the same price of a paper book, bearing in mind all the manufacture, paper, ink etc. that the eBook does not have at all.
People that knows that servers exists, do care. Maybe people with dozens of servers would like to learn
If you think that *real work* can be done just with iPads and macbooks, you don't know what real work is.
I love my Mac, but I love my Debian servers too. There's a world out there beyond desktop computers, iTunes and Mail. And by the way, there are better browsers than Safari.
Well, maybe it is important for you that comparison because you need to look at your phone with a magnifying glass.
To me, with a 20/20 eyesight, I have now in my hands a Samsung Galaxy Note (285ppi) and a iPhone 4S (326ppi) and things look clearer in the Galaxy Note.
It seems to me that we've overlooked the fact that SOPA will affect laws in many countries with Free Trade Agreements with the US.
So, there could not be easy solutions to this stupid thing like moving datacenters out of the US. This SOPA thing is indeed an abomination.
Anyway, technology will always have a way. I know that. I still remember when the music industry, in its world of fantasy, thought that blocking the transfers of MP3s was a solution for music piracy.
I'm not saying that Chrome is not a good browser, but, what happened IMHO is not that Chrome is getting better, instead, FF is getting worse every day.
I do not know how the Flash Plugin in a browser can suddenly take the 90% of a i7 CPU.
FF people forgot what made them succeed: simplicity.
This trademark/patent thing must to stop asap.

Oh please, someone has to stop this.

I bought just two days ago a Persian relic on eBay and thanks God I could transfer the $7000 via SWIFT!
This is not a technical case. It's a legal one.
They want to be able to hack the phone the "legally", so the alleged proof can be use in court.

Is it not supposed that a super admin password should be stored only in the brains of the super admins?
... good memories, back in '94 when I used that software... now everything seems (is?) easier.
I used the command-based spice. When Workbench arrived, with GUI, was something really impressive.
This could be a dangerous approach of Apple to cars... so they will soon patent stuff like, maybe, the car wheels.
That you and your friends stop playing that video game and have a different hobby.

Because with a screenshot no one could see the difference. Maybe not even with a device in their hands.
But Apple fans should find a way to say that having that DPI is better.
It was. Now is a two-man show.
How could you even discover that /. existed?
I mean, confusing IPv4/IPv6 addresses with domain names.

Agree.
In fact, can anyone remember which was the most recent 'great' movie?
Every time I think about a great movie, I go back to the Godfather or the like.
People would think that is better to watch a movie at home because you can drink a beer or two. Or three, it does not matter.
What is really a 'plus' regarding watching movies at home is that you can actually PAUSE the move to take a pee!
I've got a Galaxy Note three weeks ago and believe me, this is the most useful gadget/phone/device I've ever had.
I own a Netbook, had a Nokia n810, Nokia N900, and a Galaxy SII among other devices and the Galaxy Note beats them all.
After some days of use, it does not feel big anymore. Highly recommended.
Specially for traveling, locking the position is lighting fast (it uses both GPS and GLONASS).
Good answer. I mean it!
"Playing games with your friends all in the same room: fun"
What about having a girlfriend instead?
That a country threatens another with "unexpected consequences" just because a Christmas Lights.
Vista didn't sell because it was crap at release.
It was a crap at release. It was a crap 6 months later. It was a crap 1 year later. It is still a crap and it will be until the end of time.
Worst OS ever released. I mean it. Even worse than Windows ME.

I don't think that can be useful at all if you have to have your arms in the air, they will get tired very soon*.
We can write hours in our computers today because our arms rest over a table and our fingers over the keys themselves (action/reaction/force/etc).
*Unless you're Chuck Norris, of course.
The line:
"In addition to retiring minor features like Bookmarks List and Friend Connect"
Should be read as:
"In addition to retiring minor features like +, Bookmarks List and Friend Connect"
(I did not even take the time to search, but I assumed Google Plus is a minor feature already retired).
