I don't hate cops I don't trust them, or respect the office and question why these individuals seek out such a position. I don't think they should be held as gods among men but as what they are individuals who have too much power and questionable motives.
I like most children was told to respect police and that they are there to help, but like most pleasentries we are taught as children I have since learned to question things beyond what is often seen at the surface, and that is what I will teach my son, as every citizen should be taught to ask tough questions and not blindly follow authority.

These people are given providence over us, the ability to mame, injure, or kill with little or no repercussion since their word and the words of their fellow officers are held as better then those they protect even when they lie, break the law themselves, or commit unjustified harm.
Besides the detectives which are trying to solve cases, the police force can be trimmed but a good margin & is nothing but a bloated government institution of meter maids & county tax collectors in uniform, given the authority to make civilians lives miserable all in the interest of bringing revenue to the state, and before you say "but when they come to your aid...." If the shit hits the fan I won't be calling 911.
If you need a hero to look up to call the local vet organization tell a combat vet "thank you" they deserve it, or better yet hug a fireman at least they do no harm.

Saw it this weekend. The plot was long & drawn out. A little over a 2 hour film with all the trailers. The love interest plot was cheesy, as were the elves. Visual effects and the actor playing hell boy was good, new actor playing fish stick. German frauss
Don't worry about the spoilers, you know whats going to happen by 20 min into the film, the plot is pretty translucent. Not a whole lot of new ideas. 1) LOTR man / elf pact gone wrong - Check 2) One crown to rule them all (need I say more) -check 3) Goofy (corsecan brother's with out the weed) twins feeling each others pain - check 4) Secret withheld by girl but known by mind reader until he spills it - check 5) What is with these freaks heads? The first article described it as a put / call option (similar to an equity collar) only with the addition of cash up front, fair enough but since I had to look up equity collars, and had already made the mistake of thinking it was a call I had to do some more reasearch, bear with me the questions are at the end.

With this structure, the investor agrees to deliver some or all of the underlying shares at a future date in exchange for an up-front cash advance today. The investor can then use the cash advance to diversify his or her overall investment portfolio.
At maturity, if the share price of the underlying position has fallen, the investor may be required to deliver 100 percent of the underlying shares in order to repay the contract amount (if the contract is "physically settled"). If the share price has appreciated, the investor may be required to deliver only that percentage of shares (with a minimum percentage defined by the structure of the transaction) necessary to repay the contract amount. So if they originally agree to sell & the stock goes up because of some insider knowledge, the exec then decides to (Not) sell with this JPM account they would be responsible for only the cash settle, or would they sell back part of the shares? I'm assuming that what ever retained shares they keep the idea is that they would now be "in the money" because of the increase?

Not quite they are taking advantage of insider information to not sell rather then how such information is usually used which is to sell because of a CO depression, or buy because of a expected CO up tick.
A stop loss is an order placed with a broker to sell a security when it reaches a certain price. It is designed to limit an investor's loss on a security position.
I think you were thinking of a call which is an agreement for a second party (the brokerage) to buy the stock at a pre-set price regardless of the stocks current price level. The buyer is gambling that the stock is going to go up and they will be able to acquire the stock a a much lower then market value. If the stock doesn't go up the buyer doesn't use the option and is only out the free for the contract. If the stock does go up you invoke the option & merrily buy it for your contracted price which is below market value. (ie "in the money")
If the exec's are choosing to NOT sell that would indicate to me a positive tick on the board which the executive knew was going to happen (hence insider trading) and then choose to not sell under this clause, put this would be market manipulation more then a call since the executive already has the stock in hand.
