Facebook wants MORE access to peoples devices?

    NOPE.

I do not fancy myself being a product and having my information bought and sold by unknown entities.

I also don't see this app working terribly well unless whomevers calling you also has it.

I'm all for it. In nearly every advancement of technology mistakes were made, people were hurt and there were always failures. Are we going to stop advancing because of that?

I see some people mentioning the possibility of copywriting human genes. Initially I laughed at how absurd that would be, but given the current state of copywrite/trademark/parent laws, I could see it happening.

I wonder how it would be enforced. I can certainly imagine some horrific outcomes (You contain our property! )

Hey, that's just like, your opinion man.

    http://www.theguardian.com/not...

Water isn't wet. Wetness is a description of our experience of water; what happens to us when we come into contact with water in such a way that it impinges on our state of being. We, or our possessions, 'get wet'.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head.

The first (And last) time I used twitter was to debate someone stating that my opinion didn't matter because I'm white (They assume) and that nobody can ever be racist towards white people.

I tried to have a civilized debate but a number of people simply retweeted my account and asked their followers (Numbering in the hundreds) to report my account (No reason given). When I replied to ask why they wanted people to report me, I was reported for "unsolicited replies".

If I can't have a civilized debate without being banned for unpopular opinions, what's the point of using the service? Seems like a mighty big echo chamber/hugbox.

You should be restricted from modifying it, even if you buy it!" Well you can piss right the fuck off then, because it sounds to me like you don't want my money. I'll find somebody who does want money. Or just continue to maintain and upgrade my current car. I've been perfectly fine changing my own brakes, engine, transmission, suspension components and ECU for years now. I don't need somebody to come in, treat me like a child and restrict that too.

Setting aside how stupid this idea is, how stupid Feinstein is, and our first amendment rights: Most of the things in "The Anarchist Cookbook" simply do not work or have absolutely terrible methods. This is a book that tells you to dry gunpowder in a pot over an open flame. It also states that you can get high by smoking banana peels. It's utterly useless and there are plenty of resources out there if you want to learn how to make explosives. This is nothing but a publicity stunt, and a terrible one at that. I wonder if she realizes that most of us have the chemicals to make legitimate high explosives in our garages and bathrooms?

  17. A lot of paranoid people on Commercial Flamethrower Successfully Crowdfunded · · Score: 1

I made a flamethrower in middleschool, kerosene powered by pressurizing old propane tanks. They are a lot safer than a lot of you seem to think. No, nobody got hurt and it's a huge hit at 4th of July parties. What's with the sudden need to regulate absolutely everything? Flamethrowers are federally unregulated, and only illegal in two states, one of them (Of course) being California. I doubt anybody is going to get hurt using this device, it doesn't even preform all that well for the price tag. The one I made (On a budget of "Random stuff I had laying around") had a range of around 50 feet, at a pressure of 120 PSI. It's a pretty simple device to operate. Don't point it at things you don't want to burn. If you are too stupid for that, don't force regulation on the rest of us who enjoy having fun.
